While beginners and occasional surfers paddle out between May and September, the strong winds and challenging waves between October and April are only for experts, who then have even more fun.

You too can set off for the end of the world or at least for what was thought to be the case until the discovery of the Azores. A visit to the wavy Cabo da Roca, the westernmost tip of continental Europe, is especially worthwhile to enjoy the spectacle of the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean.
