This means building frontend systems that gracefully handle traffic spikes while maintaining sub-second response times, whether it's a quiet Tuesday in November or the busy weeks of summer booking season.

Your future team

As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the Discovery team, you'll be a key contributor to our list page — the primary entry point to our booking platform. You'll build and optimize the user experience that helps customers explore thousands of properties effortlessly, working on systems that handle a few hundreds of requests per second during peak seasons.

You'll collaborate with a cross-functional team including backend engineers, a product manager, an engineering manager and a QA engineer to ship features that directly impact our search experience, conversion rates, and overall customer satisfaction. You'll also partner with our Search Intelligence, Conqueror, and Marketing teams to ensure a seamless and consistent experience across the platform.

Your role in this journey

Build scalable, high-availability frontend applications for over 1M unique daily users, owning the list page experience where customers discover properties.
Drive feature development hands-on, crafting experiences that delight users and improve conversion.
Partner with product management and engineering leadership to define ambitious goals (OKRs) and shape the technical roadmap.
Lead the full software development lifecycle from ideation through release and monitoring, with the freedom to implement your ideas.
Champion code quality, speed of delivery, and system reliability while designing technical solutions and AWS integrations.
Collaborate with the broader frontend function to drive strategic technology decisions and own the team's frontend backlog.
Accelerate developer productivity by iterating on build and deployment processes, helping the team ship features faster.

Your backpack is filled with

Over six years of experience as a web-frontend developer with expertise in JavaScript (ES6+) and ReactJS.
Proficiency with TypeScript, state-management libraries, and TailwindCSS.
Experience creating excellent UI design and passion for understanding user interactions with the products built.
Excitement about technical challenges and interest in being close to business and customers.
Love for data-driven work and building world-class products with an excellent user experience.
Affinity for cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipeline optimization.
A "You build it, you run it" mentality.
Experience with experimentation and A/B testing is a plus.
