Your future team

You will be leading the DevOps team, and in this role you will be collaborating with all Holidu teams, supporting them with new solutions as well as helping them to keep their apps running.

Our Tech Stack

  • Microservice architecture written with Java, Spring Boot, NodeJS
  • Search engine runs on Elasticsearch cluster
  • Frontend written in ReactJS & Redux
  • Native Android, native iOS and a React native application 
  • Data storages with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis and Redshift
  • Jenkins, Terraform, Git, Kubernetes, Docker, heavy usage of AWS
  • Serverless with Amazon Lambda
  • Monitoring with ELK, Prometheus/Grafana/Thanos and own technologies
  • BigData and Machine/Deep Learning with Redshift, Spark and TensorFlow

Your role in this journey

  • You will be a hands-on leader for the DevOps team which is fully responsible for technologies, systems and environments that help Holidu to scale up as fast as possible
  • You will be responsible for hiring, managing and mentoring DevOps engineers
  • You will be driving the agenda of the team by applying agile processes and working with multiple engineering managers across the whole tech organization
  • You will develop and establish concepts for smooth and performant development, test and production environment 
  • You will be responsible for our AWS environment (dev, test and live) and will be responsible for securing it
  • You will improve (and develop it further) our existing monitoring environment to keep control over our infrastructure
  • You will help to design and implement new solutions on future projects
  • You will help developers on their builds, deployments and troubleshootings

Your backpack is filled with

  • Finished studies in Computer Science, or related fields and multiple years of development or infrastructure experience after or during your studies
  • Professional experience as DevOps at least on the Senior level (AWS, K8S, CI/CD, monitoring, security, infrastructure as code)
  • Practical experience in managing team of at least 2 engineers
  • Experience with leading projects and/or mentoring other team members
  • Practical experience with Agile/Scrum or strong motivation to learn and apply it
  • Good scripting and programming knowledge very beneficial
  • You work with a problem-solving attitude, have a strong sense of responsibility and enjoy exploring new ways of reaching goals
