It is Bulgaria’s stylish capital city, sitting beneath the peak of the towering Mount Vitosha. Great cafes / restaurants, historic churches, museums, and an easy access to the nearby mountains makes it a nice destination for a long weekend. In our travel guide, you will find great things to do in Sofia.

The store sells different brands of coffee beans, different types of tea leaves, as well as cups, mugs and everything you need to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. For vegans there is also oat milk for making the perfect latte with foam. But non coffee drinkers will also enjoy it here as Drekka offers an amazing matcha latte. 2. Hidden Gem Sofia: Raketa Rakia Bar

This is the place to go if you want to have a drink after exploring Sofia. Raketa Rakia is known for its wide selection of rakia, a fruit-based brandy which Bulgaria has claimed as its national drink. For those who want to avoid feeling like hell the next morning, there is also an ample selection of Bulgarian beers and other drinks. Raketa is full of memorabilia from the socialist era. Customers are invited to bask in the mid-century minimalism of bare bulbs and blocky, modernist propaganda posters. Retro style – a throwback to the past.
