It is about 8 kilometres from the city centre and can be reached by taxi, public transport and shuttle buses. Palma de Mallorca also has great beaches to offer: the Platja de Palma stretches east for ten kilometres to S'Arenal, to the west the bay Cala Major awaits your visit. In the north-west, Palma de Mallorca is separated from the central plain of Mallorca by gentle ranges of hills - a great area for long walks and mountain bike tours, especially in the spring and autumn months, when temperatures are pleasantly mild.
