This little cute hideaway is located in “Glockenbach”, an area close to the city center with lots of nice and small shops. The cafe is not only impressive because of its delicious food but also in terms of the cozy interior. There are only around 5 tables and some seating outside, but this creates the special atmosphere. The highlight from the breakfast menu is the avocado toast with salmon, egg and honey mustard dip. Next to the usual lunch and breakfast menu there is also a changing weekly offering with special dishes. As all their cakes are personally made at Ooh Baby I like it raw it is also worth stopping by for a little coffee and cake break. You can see, feel and taste that the owner puts lots of love and effort in the café.

2. Hidden Gem Munich: Dachgarten

You can find this new feel-good hotspot in the middle of the city. It is located on the roof of a car park. Take the elevator to the fourth floor and you will see a wooden construction with many of plants. Grab a drink and enjoy the good atmosphere and sun in the urban green oasis. No one has to leave the deck thirsty or hungry. In addition to the bar where you get everything from juice to wine, the small menu offers delicious bowls and sandwiches. The closest station is “Stachus”.

A newcomer in town, this ice cream parlor is exploding in popularity as more and more people try their delicious ice cream. You can expect many different varieties of awesome flavours that will keep you fresh during the summer. However, they don’t stop there! They serve their ice cream in a homemade butter and cinnamon waffle that will for sure blow your taste buds. When visiting this hidden gem in summer be sure to order the offer of three scoops on top of the waffle for the ultimate ice cream experience!

4. Hidden Gem Munich: Bami House

Little Vietnam in Munich! For an authentic Vietnamese experience, you sit on tiny plastic chairs while eating your food. The menu ranges from Pho over Banh Mi to Sticky Rice. It´s hard to decide which meal to pick! But don´t worry – whatever you choose will be fantastic. For Munich especially, the prices are pretty fair and the food is top quality.

5. Hidden Gem Munich: Soul Kitchen

If you fancy a good pizza while being in Munich, stop by at Soul Kitchen –you will get a real Neapolitan pizza here. If you’ve been asking yourself what’s so special about this pizza, here’s the answer: the dough rise for three days before being processed. The pizza is then put into the original Italian pizza oven for just 90 seconds at more than 400 degrees, which makes the crust fluffy and the wafer-thin base soft. Try the “Bufala”! It is our favourite.

6. Hidden Gem Munich: Man versus Machine

To get your daily dose of caffeine, stop at Man versus Machine. The roastery opened its doors in 2014 in the hip district Glockenbach, but you can also find them in two other locations now. Since then, they attract lovers of “Speciality Coffee”, also called the Third Wave Coffee. Make sure to try the flat white coffee with oat milk! It´s a dream. There is also something special about the interior at their location in Schellingstr. – the wallpaper was designed by a local tattoo artist.

7. Hidden Gem Munich: Mary´s Coffee Club

This is a spot for breakfast lovers and probably the most instagrammable café in Munich. Every detail is made with love! Rose gold dinnerware, marble tabletops, cacti in beautiful pots, cognac-coloured leather cushions and a turquoise tiled counter. No matter if you love hearty or sweet breakfasts, Mary’s Coffee Club offers both. How about the oriental flat bread with beetroot hummus, feta, egg and avocado? The best part, however, is that you will get the brunch all day long! Of course you can also try one of the delicious cakes along with your coconut cappuccino, or how about some cookie dough? Yes you heard right!

8. Hidden Gem Munich: Container Collective

Kind of “not so Munich!” It´s not posh, it´s not Bavarian – it´s hipster. The hangout spot at Ostbahnhof is made out of old and colorful containers. During summertime, it´s a nice place for sitting and relaxing, sipping a cup of coffee or eating ice cream and chatting with foreigners or friends. Where: Ostbahnhof (closest station)

9. Hidden Gem Munich: Flushing Meadows

Munich at its best. This is a nice place for enjoying a good cocktail with great view. The Flushing Meadows Rooftop Bar is not only meant to be enjoyed during the evening hours but is also good for the early birds. The rooftop opens as early as 7AM so it’s perfect for your first cappuccino. The best part: if you ‘re lucky, you might have the chance to see the Alps from here. Where: Fraunhoferstr. 10. Hidden Gem Munich: M´uniqo Rooftop

Recently a new rooftop terrace opened in Munich. You can find it on the 12th floor of the new Andaz Hotel. The 360 degree view is truly stunning and six-meter-high panoramic windows maximize the experience. If the weather is right you will even see the alps from here. The bartenders offer vermouths, aperitivi, classic cocktails and signature drinks. So come and enjoy a great sunset with some nice drinks.

THE place for great superfood breakfast and fancy lattes. How about a Beetroot Latte? Or rather golden milk? At Bite Delite you can find everything your healthy lifestyle is craving for. For breakfast they offer goodies likes amazing smoothie bowls and hot porridge. They already opened 4 different stores in Munich and one is perfectly located in the middle of downtown.
