Oxford is one of the most famous student cities and attracts many visitors. So the wide range of holiday accommodation on offer is not surprising. Just 90 kilometres northwest of the capital, London, Oxford is in the county of Oxfordshire. The two famous universities - Oxford University and Oxford Brookes University - make it known as the centre of knowledge. Oxford is extremely well connected to the public transport network, so you don't necessarily need your own car to explore the exciting student city.

In Oxford you can find ingenious photo motifs at literally every corner. But our favourites are without question the Radcliffe Camera rotunda at the Square of the same name and the Bridge of Sighs, which was modelled on its Venetian counterpart. Also the Oxford Caste - today only partially preserved - with its dungeons offers exciting moments in front of the lens.

Rowing is one of Oxford's favourite pastimes - both for students and holidaymakers. Under the Magdalen Bridge, a beautiful 18th century stone bridge, you can rent a typical rowing boat and row through the romantic countryside. The water flows slowly, so that even beginners can enjoy the beauty of nature around them without any problems.

Very noble - but correspondingly expensive - it is called on the "High Street", by inhabitants often only "The High". Here you will find luxury brands, jewellers and elegant restaurants. It gets more original at the market, which takes place on Wednesdays and Thursdays at the market in Gloucester Green. Here you will find a colourful collection of unique pieces and souvenirs, street food and of course the almost ubiquitous street musicians. A holiday apartment in Gloucester Green is particularly suitable for those who want to do something in the evening.
