How do I verify my account as a private host?
Account verification is an essential step to ensure your Holidu profile is secure and compliant with our standards. As a private host, verifying your account confirms your identity and enables seamless payouts for your bookings. This comprehensive guide will walk you through each step of the verification process, making it quick and straightforward.
Important: This verification process can only be completed by the host (the primary account holder in your Holidu account).

Step 1: Prepare Your Documents
Before beginning the verification process, gather the following documents. Please note that Adyen does not accept scanned documents—only clear photos or official digital downloads of original documents will be accepted.
- Official identification (passport, driving license, or national ID)
- Proof of bank account ownership (e.g., bank statement or deposit slip)
- If applicable, your sole proprietorship registration number
Step 2: Start the Verification Process
- Log into your Holidu account and navigate to the Account tab
- Click on Validate to begin the verification process
- You may be asked to sign a new agreement—simply accept to continue. This will not affect your pricing
Step 3: Verify Your Personal Information
- Click on Personal Details
- Review the information that has been pre-filled from your Holidu account
- If any information needs editing, click Edit and update the details accordingly
- Ensure all information is accurate and complete, then click Next
- Select whether your bank account is in your personal name or registered under a sole proprietorship (freelancer, sole trader, etc.)
- If applicable, provide your business registration number and business address
- Click Next to proceed
Step 4: Confirm Your Address
- Enter your address in the search field—the details will autofill
- Important: Ensure your address matches the address on your ID document exactly
- If your billing address differs from the address on your ID, update it to match your personal ID address
- Click Next to continue
Step 5: Verify Your Identity with an ID Document
You have two verification options. We recommend the Instant Verification method for faster processing.
Instant Verification (Recommended):
- Select the country that issued your ID
- Choose your document type (passport, driving license, or ID card)
- Verify that your document matches the personal information you've already entered
- Scan the QR code displayed on your screen using your phone, or retrieve the link via SMS
- Take clear, high-quality photos of both sides of your document for immediate verification
Manual Verification:
- Select your document type
- Upload clear, high-quality photos of your document from your computer
- Click Next to submit
- Allow up to 72 hours for manual verification to be completed
Step 6: Verify Your Payout Details
Ensure that your bank account is registered under the same name you provided in the previous steps.
Choose one of these verification options:
Instant Verification:
- Select your online banking provider from the list
- Log in to your bank account through Tink, our trusted partner
- Your login information is never stored—it is only used for verification purposes
- Complete the verification immediately
Manual Verification:
- Enter your bank account details manually
- Upload a recent bank document (from the last 12 months)
- Ensure the document clearly shows your name, IBAN, and (for non-EU residents) the bank location
- Click Next to submit
- Allow up to 72 hours for verification
Step 7: Provide Sole Proprietor Details (if applicable)
If you are a sole proprietor, freelancer, or sole trader, provide the following information:
- Your business legal name (as it appears on official registration documents)
- Your registration number (indicate if you do not have one)
- Your business address (ensure it matches your legal address)
Step 8: Complete Your Verification
- If you used Instant Verification, your account status should update immediately
- If you used Manual Verification, allow up to 72 hours for processing. You can track your verification status in your Holidu account, which will change from "In Review" to "Complete" once finished
Tips for a Smooth Verification Process
- Ensure clarity: Make sure all photos and documents are clear, well-lit, and fully visible in the frame
- Maintain consistency: Verify that the information on all documents matches exactly—especially names and addresses
- Monitor your email: Keep an eye on your inbox, as we may need to contact you with updates or request additional information
- Avoid common mistakes: Double-check that your address matches your ID, and ensure all document photos are of high quality
