Brand is a community of about 700 inhabitants in the southwest of Vorarlberg, more precisely in the district of Bludenz. The mountain village lies at an altitude of 1,037 metres in the so-called Brandnertal, one of the most beautiful high mountain valleys in the Eastern Alps. In addition to alpine landscapes, the surroundings are also characterised by dense forests.

The picturesque landscape of Brand and the dense network of paths invite you to hike and stroll. As a mountain biker you will love the 110 km long routes to the mountains. There is also a natural swimming lake in the village which you can use for swimming, refreshment and recreation.

In the Brandnertal ski area, around 65 kilometres of pistes and 15 modern lifts await you to give you a fantastic skiing holiday in the midst of a breathtaking mountain world. The mountain railways, which you can reach on foot from your holiday accommodation, start directly from Brand. There is also a small ski lift for children and beginners in the middle of a fire. The snow guarantee in the Brandnertal ski area is 70 percent.

The parish church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is a very special sight in Brand. This is a Gothic building that was erected where a chapel stood as early as 1410. Gothic frescoes from 1500 were discovered and restored in the nave of the church. Particularly interesting is the group of figures Crucifixion with John and Mary from 1480 and a portrait of Mary with Child from 1500 on the altar wall.

The Lünersee is situated at an altitude of 1,980 metres not far from the Douglass-Hütte and is surrounded by rugged rock ridges. Today's reservoir with several hydroelectric power stations is the ideal hiking destination. There is a path along the lake shore that you can use to circumnavigate the reservoir in the magnificent basin.

You only need a quarter of an hour by car to reach the city of Bludenz, which invites you to stroll and visit. Take a look at the remains of the city fortifications from the 15th to 17th centuries, such as the tower of the parish church, the two gates, the Capuchin monastery, the Dominican monastery of St. Peter and the hospital church. Also worth seeing is the town hall from the year 1640.
