The "Wäldlerbähnle", as the Bregenzerwaldbahn is affectionately called, once connected Bregenz with Bezau in the Bregenzerwald. Today, only a part of the once more than 35 kilometres long route of barely 5 kilometres has been preserved, but this is especially beautiful and can be travelled with the museum railway. During the trip you can enjoy great views of the Bregenzerwald and the surrounding area. Parts of the route, such as the Andelsbuch railway station, are now used for other purposes: numerous cultural events and exhibitions take place here. Most of the old routes were converted into cycle paths and some bridges can now be climbed - secured, of course.
