The upload of my documents does not work, what can I do?

If you're experiencing issues uploading your documents, here are the steps to resolve the problem:

  1. Ensure your documents are clear, legible, and in the correct format (JPG/JPEG are recommended) with a maximum file size of 4 MB. Please note that screenshots of ID documents are not accepted by Adyen.
  2. If you're still having trouble, try using a different web browser, as compatibility issues may affect the upload process.
  3. Should the issue persist after trying these steps, reach out to our support team through the contact form in your Holidu account for further assistance.

My ID document got declined, what can I do?

If your ID document was declined, double-check that it meets the required verification standards. Here are the key requirements to follow:

General ID Requirements

  • The document should not be expired.
  • The photo ID must have the machine-readable zone visible (if applicable) and be a physical photo ID.
  • For passports and ID cards, provide separate files for front and back (if providing an ID card or driver's licence).
  • Images must be full-colour, cropped, and straightened.
  • The document must be a photo or scan, not a screenshot, printout, or photo of a screen.

Special Considerations for France

French national ID cards issued between January 2, 2004, and December 31, 2013, have a validity extension of 5 years beyond the original expiration date, making them valid for 15 years total. Please note that this extension does not apply to IDs issued to minors or other document types.

We recommend using your passport for identification purposes, as it typically meets verification requirements more consistently.

My bank account is a joint bank account. Can it be used for payouts?

Yes, a joint bank account can be used for payouts on your Holidu host account. You'll need to provide proof showing the names of both account holders for verification and processing purposes. This documentation ensures compliance with our verification requirements and protects all account holders involved.

Where can I find my business registration details?

You'll find your business registration details on an official document that is issued by a reliable source, such as the local commercial register, and is either no older than 12 months or includes a signature with a matching state date.

Cross-check that your business name, registration number, and other details match your official documents to avoid delays in the verification process. The following section provides country-specific guidance on locating your business registration information.

Which requirements does a bank account proof have to fulfil?

Bank account proofs can take several forms and must meet specific requirements to ensure verification compliance. Here are the accepted document types and requirements:

  • Official bank-issued letters

Required Information on Bank Account Proof

Your bank account proof documents must clearly show:

  • The account holder's name matching your legal entity name
  • The account number or IBAN
  • Date of issuance within the last 12 months (exemptions apply for RIBs, cheques, or TAMIEYTHPIO)
  • Bank-issued indicators such as the bank name or logo

If a trading name is used, a supporting document may be necessary to connect it to the legal entity name.

IBAN Requirements

Your IBAN must belong to a SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) country to be accepted for payouts. The following SEPA countries are currently supported:

Why am I asked to log in to my Online Banking?

You have the option to verify your bank account instantly through Online Banking or to upload a Bank Account Proof document manually. Online Banking verification is secure and immediate, providing instant confirmation of your account ownership. Alternatively, uploading a bank statement or other proof document may take up to 72 hours for processing.

Choosing Online Banking verification offers the fastest path to account verification and is a secure method handled by Adyen, our trusted payment provider.

Is there a risk of me not receiving my payments?

As long as you provide the proper documentation matching the bank account holder name, there is no risk. For companies, this documentation should match the decision-makers on file. Our verification process is designed to ensure accurate and secure payment processing for all hosts.

What will happen with the copies of the documents I previously shared with Holidu?

Holidu handles your data following strict privacy and data security policies to ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations. If you have concerns about your personal data or wish to request data deletion or access, please contact us through the contact form in your Holidu account.

I don't trust this company to have my documents.

Will I get confirmation when I submit all the information?

Yes, once your information is verified and approved, you will receive a confirmation email from Holidu. This email will confirm that your account verification is complete and that you're ready to start receiving payments for your bookings.
