Your payout is based on the nightly rate you set in your Holidu Host account, minus any discounts you offer and the Holidu commission. VAT may also be deducted if it applies to your account. Channel commissions from other booking platforms are added on top of your price, so they do not reduce your payout.

How is my payout calculated?

Your payout is calculated in five steps:

1. Your set price: The nightly rate you configure in your Holidu Host account is the starting point for your payout.
2. Distribution channel commission: When your property is listed on other booking platforms, those platforms add their commission on top of your set price. This increases the price the guest pays, but it does not reduce your payout.
3. Discounts: Any discounts you have set up, such as 10% off stays of 7 nights or more, are deducted from your set price before the payout is calculated.
4. Holidu commission: Holidu's commission (for example, 6%) is deducted from your base price.
5. VAT: If applicable, VAT is deducted from your earnings.

Can you show an example payout calculation?

Here is an example for a 2-night stay:

• Nightly rate set by you: €350
• Discount (10%): New nightly rate of €315
• Total before deductions: €315 x 2 nights = €630
• Holidu commission (6%): -€37.80
• Payout before any applicable VAT: €592.20

Why was my payout lower than expected?

Holidu uses a balance system to avoid unnecessary back-and-forth payments. If we have already paid an amount and the booking changes or is cancelled free of charge, we subtract that amount from your next payout instead of requesting a deposit.
