Writing a strong property description is key to attracting more bookings. With Holidu's Description Generator, you don't need to worry about writing from scratch. The tool helps you create clear, professional, and optimized content in just a few clicks. Here's how it works.

How to Get Started

Follow these steps to generate your property description:

1. Log in to the Holidu Homes website or app and access your property.
2. In the left sidebar, under Configuration, click on Description. Note: This option will only appear once you've completed the Amenities section.
3. Ensure that the Amenities section is complete and accurate. The Description Generator uses this information to build your text, so it's essential that all relevant features and services are selected.
4. In the Description Generator, you can:
   • Let the tool create a description automatically, or
   • Select "Provide your own text" to submit your own version. Our system will adapt this input to meet platform requirements.

1. Use the sections Essential details for guests and Other details to add any extra information you'd like included.

1. When everything is ready, click Generate at the bottom right of the page. Your description will be created automatically.
2. You can view the result in other available languages by using the dropdown menu above the text.

1. Once generated, you can:
   • Accept and use the suggested description
   • Regenerate a new version
   • Leave feedback for further refinement

If You Manage a Multi-Unit Property

If your property consists of multiple units, follow this two-step process to generate descriptions for all accommodations:

1. Go to Global configuration > Global description and generate the main text for the entire property.
2. Then, go to each individual unit via Units > Unit title & description, and generate their respective descriptions one by one.

This approach ensures that guests have both a comprehensive overview of your entire property and specific details about each unit they may be considering.

Making Edits to the Description

If you'd like to change the generated text, follow these steps:

1. Click Edit at the bottom right of the description.
2. Modify the content as needed — you can correct typos, update amenities, or include more specific details.
3. Choose whether to apply your edits to:
   • Only the current language, or
   • All translated versions (recommended for important updates like check-in times, pool availability, or parking).

Updating an Existing Description

If your property already has a description and you want to refresh or update it, here's what to do:

1. Go to your property page.
2. Update the Amenities section with any new or changed services and features.
3. Navigate to the Description section.
4. Add or adjust any relevant details in the available fields.
5. Click Generate to create a new description.
6. Compare it to the current one and click Use new description if you'd like to replace it.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why can't I just use my own text?

Holidu generates descriptions that are fully optimized for visibility, structure, and accuracy across booking platforms. This allows us to:

• Ensure translations into eight languages
• Follow the formatting and content guidelines required by distribution channels
• Enhance the discoverability of your listing

However, you can still submit your own version in the "Provide your own text" section. Our tool will adjust it to meet platform standards.

Can I personalize the description?

Yes. The section "Additional essential details for guests" lets you include information specific to your property, such as house rules, check-in instructions, pet policies, or tips about the local area. This content is integrated into your final description, making it unique to your property while maintaining the professional structure and optimization that Holidu provides.

What if the text is incorrect?

You can edit or regenerate the description at any time. Just make sure that the Amenities section is up-to-date, as this is the foundation for the text generation. If you notice inaccuracies, update your amenities and regenerate the description to ensure it reflects your property accurately.
