The lake is home to two separate caverns which you can visit and tour. Bridal Caverns is the most popular option with towering stalactites, stalagmites, and a variety of other crystal formations. Afterwards, head to Stark Caverns, which are equally spectacular and used to be inhabited by Native Americans for thousands of years.

Rocky Top Trail is home to one of the lake’s most uphill, yet, most rewarding hikes. With spectacular mountain views at the top, the 3,665-foot elevation gain is well worth it! The hike takes around 6 hours round-trip to complete and can be enjoyed year-round. It’s a great daytime activity for couples or adults seeking a challenging, sweat-inducing outdoor activity. Please be aware that this hike might not be suitable for beginners or small children.

If you find yourself at Lake of the Ozarks during the summer months, you’ll probably want to spend as much time swimming in the clear, calm waters of the lake as much as possible! The lake has several public beaches with sandy shores and facilities. Public Beach #1 is a popular and family-friendly beach option. Grand Glaize Marina Recreation Area is another great beach for swimming at the lake. Coffman Beach Access is popular for its sandy shores, shallow swimmable waters, and spectacular sunsets.

There are numerous water sports companies which offer water sports rentals all around the lake. Take a kayak out on the calm waters of the lake. Peacefully paddle along the waters with paddleboards, or rent canoes. Parasailing and wakeboarding trips are both available.

There are endless family-friendly activities and attractions around the lake. During the summer months head to Big Surf Waterpark which is the perfect place for children to splash and run around. There is a children's pool with inflatable tubes that children can use as well as a variety of other activities. Lemans Fun Park is a mini amusement park where children can enjoy go karts, put-put golf, and bumper boats. During the colder months children can enjoy Jolly Mon Indoor Waterpark which features two tube slides, a lazy river, and a basketball hoop in the water!

There’s not a more memorable way to explore the mountains and forests surrounding the lake than on horseback.
