FAQ - Land Registration Number for Italian Properties (LRN)

Why Holidu Needs Your Land Registration Number (LRN)

To follow new tax regulations, Holidu must collect the Land Registration Number (LRN) from all private hosts for whom we handled tax payments in the previous fiscal year, and we will continue to require it for next years. This number is required to issue the Certificazione Unica (CU), an official tax document.

Providing your LRN helps us meet legal requirements smoothly.

Who Needs to Add It?

Every private host that has received at least one confirmed (and not cancelled) booking in the previous fiscal year and for whom Holidu acted as taxpayer.

Note: Hosts who have discontinued their cooperation with Holidu but have still received at least one confirmed booking are also obliged to add the land references.

Where Can I Find the LRN?

The Land Registration Number can be found in the following places:

1. Deed of the Property

You can locate your LRN directly on your property deed document.

Important Notes:

  • If you have multiple properties, you must complete this process for each one
  • For multi-units, you need to do it for each unit under the section "Unit information"

When Do I Need to Fill It In?

We need your Land Registration Number for the next CU statement, which we need to prepare by March 6, 2025. We kindly ask you to add it as soon as possible, preferably within the next few days by February 23, 2025.

What Happens If I Don't Comply with the Deadline?

Without the Land Registration Number, the tax declaration for your property(ies) that we submit to the Italian Tax Authority will be incomplete. We cannot be held liable for any consequences this may have on you.

I Already Gave You CIN, Why Do You Need LRN Too?

CIN is a mandatory license number that all properties in Italy must have to rent short-term. The Land Registration Number is a unique identification number assigned to every property (that you can find in multiple documents in your possession) needed in order to be able to issue the CU declaration (Certificazione Unica) in compliance with the law.

I Already Added It in the Holidu Host App a Few Weeks Ago. Why Are You Writing to Me Again?

Unfortunately, the format you previously inserted was not valid or did not match the required format. Please insert it again ensuring you follow the correct format requirements.

What If I Don't Have All 5 Numbers Required?

Every property registered in Italy must necessarily have the 'Codice Comune,' 'Foglio,' and 'Particella.' Some properties, on the other hand, may have no value indicated in the fields 'Sezione Urbana' and 'Subalterno.' In such cases, these fields can be left blank. We kindly ask you to carefully check your documents to indicate the correct references.
