How to Manage Your Account or Temporarily Pause Bookings
We’re glad to have you as part of the Holidu community!
If you need a break from hosting or want to temporarily stop receiving new bookings, there’s no need to delete your account or remove your property. Holidu offers flexible tools that let you pause hosting while keeping all your information, settings, and reviews safe for when you’re ready to return.
Pause Bookings Without Removing Your Property: Block Your Calendar
If you want to temporarily stop accepting reservations, the easiest and most flexible option is to block your calendar.
This is ideal if:
- You’re taking a short break
- You need time for small repairs or upgrades
- You expect to reopen soon
- You want your property to remain visible and ready for later
Blocking your calendar prevents guests from booking the dates you select while your property stays active and visible on all platforms.

Keep Your Dashboard Organized: Use Filters
If you simply want a simpler view of your properties, you can use the filter at the top of your Property list.
- Select “Published properties” to show only your currently active properties.
- This helps keep your dashboard focused and easy to navigate.
Filtering only changes what you see — it does not affect how your property appears on booking platforms.
This is especially useful if you have older, seasonal, or temporarily inactive properties and simply want a clearer overview.
Unpublishing Your Property
If you prefer your property not to appear on Holidu or partner channels for a while, you can choose to unpublish it.
This option hides your property everywhere but keeps your information intact so you can republish it at any time.
Note: Unpublishing must be done by the host.
How to unpublish a property:
- Log in to your Holidu Host account
- Go to Property and choose the property
- Open the Configuration tab
- Scroll to Advanced Settings
- Click Unpublish and confirm
Once unpublished, the property will stop receiving new bookings while all your details, history, and settings remain available in your account.
What Happens to Your Information
Whether you block your calendar or unpublish your property, you will still be able to:
- Log in and access your Holidu account
- Review booking and payment history
- View and edit your property details
- Reactivate your property whenever you choose
Some booking data must be retained for legal and operational purposes (invoices, complaints, upcoming stays), so your account remains accessible even if the property is unavailable.
Requesting Permanent Deletion of Your Data
If you are sure you no longer wish to use Holidu, you may request the permanent deletion of your personal data.
To request deletion:
- Scroll to Contact Us below
- Choose: I need help with my account (personal information, IBAN, contract, etc.)
- Select: I want to delete my account at Holidu
- Submit your request
Important: Once deleted, your account, properties, messages, and booking history cannot be recovered.
Before You Delete
If your goal is simply to pause hosting, we strongly recommend blocking your calendar instead of removing or unpublishing your property.
This option keeps all your data, reviews, and configurations intact — making it easy to resume hosting whenever you like.
