How do I update or edit my listing's information?
As a host on Holidu, you have the flexibility to manage and update most of your listing details independently. Whether you need to adjust pricing, modify amenities, update your property description, or change your address, you can make these changes directly from your Holidu account on the website or through the Holidu Host app. This guide explains what information you can edit and how to keep your listing accurate and appealing to potential guests.
Information you can update independently
Pricing
You have complete control over your pricing strategy:
- Seasons and pricing: Set your nightly and weekend prices, including minimum stay requirements, check-in and check-out day pricing, and availability windows.
- Guest discounts: Create discount offers to incentivize bookings for longer stays or specific periods.
- Additional charges: Update cleaning fees, tourism fees, security deposits, and per-night charges for extra guests.
General property information
Keep your property details current to ensure guests have accurate expectations:
- Property details: Change your property type and the maximum number of guests your property can accommodate, provided it aligns with your local license requirements.
- Check-in and check-out times: Customize your property's check-in and check-out hours. These times indicate when you or a designated representative will be available, or when a lockbox will be accessible, to welcome guests at no additional charge.
- Advance notice requirement: Set the minimum booking window for guests, ranging from same-day bookings (by 3 p.m.) to up to three days before check-in.
Amenities
Update the amenities available at your property to attract the right guests. You can add or modify amenities such as Wi-Fi, pool access, bed linens, towels, pet-friendly policies, kitchen appliances, and much more. Keep in mind that when you mark an amenity as available, it must be offered at all times. You can add a cost for certain amenities where the system allows it; otherwise, amenities are offered free to guests. For amenities with variable costs based on guest requests, mention these in your property description without specifying exact amounts, as distribution channels do not allow that level of detail.
Sleeping arrangements
Bedrooms and beds: Modify the number of bedrooms and beds your property offers. When configuring your sleeping arrangements, ensure compliance with local regulations, which may include requirements for enclosed rooms, windows, and minimum room sizes.
Arrival information
Check-in details: Update who is responsible for check-in at your property—whether that's you, a co-host, or a property manager. If you make changes to check-in arrangements, notify any guests with existing bookings to ensure a smooth arrival experience.
Cancellation policies
You can adjust your cancellation policy for new bookings at any time. Important: policy changes apply only to future bookings and do not affect reservations that have already been confirmed.
Collaborators
Add a collaborator to help manage your listing by granting them account access. This is particularly useful if you have a co-host or property manager who assists with day-to-day operations.
Calendar synchronization
If your property is listed on other booking channels, sync your calendars across platforms to prevent double bookings and maintain accurate availability information.
Contact information
Update your contact details as needed. If your contact information changes and the new contact person is responsible for guest check-in, also update the Guest arrival information section. Always inform existing guests of any contact changes to maintain clear communication.
Property description
