Professional Photography Service

Holidu offers a free professional photography service in our Focus Regions. Our local photographers have in-depth knowledge of what works best in each market.

Important Service Notes:

  • The professional photography service is only available in Focus Regions. In certain areas, the service may not be available.
  • Availability depends on photographer coverage in the specific geographic area.
  • Not all properties are automatically eligible.
  • Photos taken by Holidu professionals are not reviewed before they go live on the listing. Our photography team selects and orders them based on channel performance data.
  • All hosts, including those with professional Holidu photos, can fully manage their galleries.
  • Holidu keeps a backup of all professional photos. If you delete one by mistake, you can contact support through our Assistant to request a restoration.
  • Professional photos are the property of Holidu and are not available for purchase by hosts.

Uploading Your Own Photos

Whether you're supplementing professional photos or creating your own gallery, follow these best practices to ensure your images perform well:

Photo Quality Guidelines

  • The first photo in the gallery is used as the main display image across partner channels, so make this count.
  • Gallery order affects booking performance use high-quality, well-lit photos for your cover shot and first few images.
  • Use good lighting to capture the best shots of your property.
  • Use wide angles to capture the full scope of your spaces.
  • Upload at least 10 photos to give guests a comprehensive view of your property.

Technical Requirements

  • Supported formats: JPG, PNG, HEIC/HEIF, WebP, TIFF, and AVIF (within platform file-size limits).
  • Photos must be in landscape orientation.
  • Minimum resolution: 1,024 × 768 pixels.
  • Recommended resolution: 2,000 pixels on the long edge for high-quality images.
  • Videos are not supported. Images only.

How to Manage Your Photo Gallery

Adding Photos

  1. Log in to your Holidu host account and select the property you want to edit.
  2. Click the Photos tab in the property navigation bar.
  3. Click Add Photo and upload images from your device.
  4. If you're using the Holidu app, allow Holidu to access images from your phone first.
  5. Click Save changes to apply your updates.

Reordering Photos

  1. Log in to your Holidu host account and select the property you want to edit.
  2. Click the Photos tab in the property navigation bar.
  3. Click and hold a photo, drag it to the position you want, and drop it.
  4. Click Save changes after any edit so your updates take effect.

Deleting Photos

  1. Log in to your Holidu host account and select the property you want to edit.
  2. Click the Photos tab in the property navigation bar.
  3. Click the photo you want to delete and select Delete, then confirm the action.
  4. Click Save changes to apply your updates.

Photo Backup and Recovery

Holidu keeps a backup of all professional photos. If you accidentally delete a professional photo, you can request a restoration through our support Assistant. This ensures you never lose important images from your property listing.

  • Start with your best photo as the main gallery image, as this is what guests see first.
  • Arrange your gallery to tell a story about your property, guiding guests through the most important spaces.
