Holidu Professional Photography Service

Holidu offers a free professional photography service to help hosts create compelling listings. However, there are important details to know about availability and eligibility:

Service Availability: The professional photography service is only available in Focus Regions. In certain areas, the service may not be available. Availability depends on photographer coverage in the specific geographic area. Not all properties are automatically eligible.

If you're interested in using professional photography for your property, check if your location is within a Focus Region where the service is available.

Important Information About Professional Photos

  • Photos taken by Holidu professionals are not reviewed before they go live on your listing. Our photography team selects and orders them based on channel performance data.
  • All hosts, including those with professional Holidu photos, have full control over their photo galleries and can make changes at any time.
  • Holidu keeps a backup of all professional photos. If you accidentally delete a photo, you can use the Assistant to request restoration.
  • Professional photos are the property of Holidu and are not available for purchase by hosts.

Uploading Your Own Photos

Whether you're supplementing professional photos or managing your gallery independently, follow these guidelines to ensure your images perform well:

Photo Quality Standards

  • The first photo in your gallery serves as the main display image across partner channels, so make it count.
  • Gallery order affects booking performance. Use your highest-quality, best-lit photos for your cover shot and first few images.
  • Images only—videos are not supported.
  • Supported formats: JPG, PNG, HEIC/HEIF, WebP, TIFF, and AVIF, within the platform's file-size limits.
  • Photos must be in landscape orientation.
  • Use good lighting to capture the best shots of your property.
  • Use wide-angle shots to capture the full scope of your rooms and outdoor spaces.
  • Upload at least 10 photos to give guests a comprehensive view of your property.
  • Minimum resolution: 1,024 × 768 pixels.
  • Recommended resolution: 2,000 pixels on the long edge for high-quality images that display beautifully across all devices.

How to Manage Your Photo Gallery

Adding Photos

  1. Log in to your Holidu host account and select the property you want to edit.
  2. Click the Photos tab in the property navigation bar.
  3. Click Add Photo and upload images from your device.
  4. If using the Holidu app, allow Holidu to access images from your phone when prompted.
  5. Click Save changes to make your updates take effect.

Deleting Photos

  1. Log in to your Holidu host account and select the property.
  2. Click the Photos tab.
  3. Click on the photo you want to delete.
  4. Select Delete and confirm your action.
  5. Click Save changes to finalize the deletion.

Note: Holidu keeps a backup of all photos, including professional ones. If you delete a photo by mistake, you can use the Assistant to request restoration.

Reordering Your Photos

  1. Log in to your Holidu host account and select the property.
  2. Click the Photos tab.
  3. Click and hold a photo, then drag it to your desired position in the gallery.
  4. Drop the photo in its new location.
  5. Repeat for any other photos you want to reorder.
  6. Click Save changes to apply your new gallery order.

Best Practices for Photo Management

  • Lead with your best photo: Your first image creates the first impression. Choose a photo that showcases your property's most appealing feature or a welcoming common area.
