What Data Syncs Between Feratel and Holidu?
Understanding what information is exchanged helps you manage your property effectively across both platforms.
Data That Syncs
- Prices: Prices set in Holidu are automatically sent to Feratel Deskline
- Availability and Bookings: Booking blocks are exchanged in both directions between the systems
- Calendar Updates: Changes to your calendar in either system are reflected in the other
Data That Does NOT Sync
- Manual Blocks from Feratel: Any manual blocks you create in Feratel are not automatically imported to Holidu. You must add these blocks directly in your Holidu calendar
- Property Content: Photos, descriptions, amenities, and other property details are not exchanged between systems. Maintain this information separately in both Holidu and Feratel
- iCal Integration: If you have connected Holidu with other channels using iCal, those bookings are exported to Feratel, but bookings from Feratel will not be sent through iCal. To share Feratel bookings with other calendars, use Feratel's own iCal link
Verifying Your Connection
After completing the setup, verify that your connection is working correctly:
Check Status in Holidu
- Log in to your Holidu account
- Go to the property you connected
- Navigate to iCal & Synchronisation
- Look for the Feratel connection status
- The status should display Synchronization is active
- If it shows Pending, refresh the page and check again
Check Status in Feratel
- Log in to your Feratel Deskline Webclient
- Navigate to Schnittstellenwartung
- Confirm that Holidu is listed as an active connection
Best Practices for Managing Your Connection
To ensure smooth synchronization and avoid booking conflicts, follow these recommendations:
- Handle Manual Blocks Carefully: Double-check that all manual blocks from Feratel are added to your Holidu calendar to prevent overbooking
- Maintain Separate Content: Keep property descriptions, photos, and details up to date in both Holidu and Feratel separately, as these do not sync automatically
- Monitor Your Calendar: Regularly check both calendars to ensure bookings are syncing correctly
- Use Consistent Pricing: Update prices in Holidu, as these are automatically sent to Feratel. Avoid making conflicting price changes in Feratel
- Plan for iCal Use: If you use iCal to sync with other platforms, remember that Feratel bookings will not flow through iCal connections. Use Feratel's native iCal link if needed
Troubleshooting Connection Issues
Connection Shows as Pending
If your Holidu connection status shows as pending after setup:
- Wait a few minutes for the system to fully process the connection
- Refresh your browser page
- Log out and log back into Holidu
- Check that you entered all three mapping codes correctly
- Verify that you have an active Feratel Deskline listing
Missing Mapping Codes Email
If you do not receive the email with mapping codes from Feratel:
- Check your spam or junk folder
- Wait up to 24 hours for the email to arrive
- Return to Feratel Deskline and verify the connection was saved successfully
- Contact Feratel support if the email does not arrive after 24 hours
Bookings Not Syncing
If bookings are not appearing in one system after changes in the other:
- Verify the connection status in both Holidu and Feratel shows as active
- Check that you used the correct mapping codes
- Confirm no other API connections are active between Feratel and other property management systems
- Wait a few minutes, as syncing can take time
- Refresh both systems to see updated information
