Syncing your Feratel Deskline account with Holidu allows you to manage your prices, availability, and booking information seamlessly across platforms. This guide will walk you through the process step by step and clarify which data is synced between the systems.
Prerequisites Before You Start
Before connecting Feratel Deskline to Holidu, ensure you have the following in place:
- Your property is published on at least one Holidu channel
- An active listing with Feratel Deskline
- No existing API connections between Feratel and other property management software
- Any manual blocks from your Feratel calendar manually entered into your Holidu calendar (manual blocks do NOT sync automatically)
How to Connect Feratel Deskline to Holidu
Step 1: Access Feratel Deskline
Log in to your Feratel Deskline Webclient using your credentials.
Step 2: Navigate to Interface Management
In the left menu, navigate to the following path:
- Datenwartung
- Schnittstellenwartung
- Click on the Schnittstellen für automatische Datenwartung tab
Step 3: Search for Holidu
In the search bar, enter Holidu to find the integration option.
Step 4: Connect Your Properties
Click Verbinden. A dialog will appear where you can select the property or properties you want to connect to Holidu. Accept the Terms & Conditions and click Änderungen speichern to save your changes.
Step 5: Retrieve Your Mapping Codes
Wait for an email from Feratel. This email will contain a PDF attachment with your unique mapping codes. You will need these codes in the next steps, so keep this email accessible.
Step 6: Access Your Holidu Account
Log in to your Holidu account and select the property you want to connect to Feratel.
Step 7: Configure the Connection in Holidu
Navigate to the iCal & Synchronisation section of your property settings. Click Configure, then select Feratel from the available connection options.
Step 8: Enter Your Mapping Codes
Enter the three mapping codes from the Feratel email you received. Double-check that all codes are entered correctly, then click Save.
What Data Syncs Between Feratel and Holidu?
Price Synchronization
Prices set in Holidu sync automatically to Feratel Deskline. If you update your rates on Holidu, those changes will be reflected in your Feratel calendar.
Availability and Bookings
Booking blocks synchronize in both directions between the two systems. However, manual blocks created in Feratel are NOT automatically imported to Holidu. You must add these manual blocks directly in your Holidu calendar to ensure your availability is accurate across both platforms.
iCal and Other Integrations
If you have connected Holidu with other booking portals using iCal, those bookings will be exported to Feratel. However, bookings from Feratel will not sync through iCal back to your other calendars. To sync Feratel bookings with other systems, use Feratel's own iCal link directly.
Content (Photos, Descriptions, and Details)
Property photos, descriptions, amenities, and other content details are NOT synced between the systems. You must maintain and update this information separately in both Holidu and Feratel to ensure consistency across platforms.
How to Verify Your Connection
Check Connection Status in Holidu
Go to the iCal & Synchronisation section for your property. The status should display Synchronization is active. If it shows Pending, refresh the page and check again after a few minutes.
Check Connection Status in Feratel
Navigate to Schnittstellenwartung in your Feratel account. Confirm that Holidu is listed as an active connection.
Best Practices for Managing Your Feratel-Holidu Connection
- Double-check manual blocks: Since manual blocks from Feratel do not sync automatically to Holidu, review your Feratel calendar regularly and manually add any blocked dates to Holidu to prevent booking conflicts.
- Keep property information updated separately: Update photos, descriptions, amenities, and house rules in both Holidu and Feratel to maintain consistency across platforms.
- Monitor your calendar: Regularly check both calendars to ensure bookings and availability are syncing correctly.
- Verify mapping codes: If you encounter connection issues, verify that all three mapping codes have been entered correctly in your Holidu account.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Connection Shows as Pending
If your connection status shows Pending instead of Synchronization is active, try refreshing the page. If the issue persists, verify that all mapping codes have been entered correctly and that you have accepted the Terms & Conditions in Feratel.
Prices Not Syncing
Ensure that prices have been set in Holidu. Allow a few minutes for the sync to complete. If prices still are not updating in Feratel, check that your connection status is active in both systems.
Manual Blocks Not Appearing
Remember that manual blocks created in Feratel do not sync to Holidu automatically. You must manually enter these dates as blocked dates in your Holidu calendar.
Booking Information Not Syncing
Verify that your mapping codes are correct and that the connection status is active. If bookings are still not syncing, contact Feratel support to confirm that the API connection is functioning properly on their end.
