Where can I configure amenities?
Configuring amenities for your property is simple and takes just a few steps. This guide will help you set up your amenities correctly so potential guests can find exactly what they're looking for.
How to configure amenities
To update your property's amenities, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Holidu account
- Select the property you wish to modify
- On the left side of your screen, under "Configuration", scroll down and click on "Amenities"
- Activate or deactivate amenities by selecting or unselecting them
- Changes are saved automatically, but may take up to 24 hours to update across all distribution platforms
Keep in mind that keeping your amenities up-to-date is crucial. Any discrepancies between what you've configured and what guests receive could result in booking cancellations or compensation claims.
Top amenities guests ask about before booking
Guests typically want to know more details about specific amenities before making a booking decision. These are the amenities our Customer Service team hears about most frequently:
- Wi-Fi – Is the connection suitable for video calls and remote working?
- Pets – Do you allow pets? If yes, specify the number or type accepted
- Baby equipment – Are baby cots and/or high chairs available? How many? Is there an extra fee?
- Bicycle/motorbike storage – How many spots available? Is storage inside, outside, or sheltered?
- Early check-in/Late check-out – Is there an extra charge?
- Air conditioning – Which rooms have it? Note: A/C can only be configured if available throughout the entire property
- Parking – Is it at the property or nearby? Are spots shared or private?
- Accessibility – Is there step-free access? Is the interior suitable for reduced mobility? Is there a lift?
- Heated pool – Is it heated year-round? Is there an extra charge?
- Shared pool – How many other guests share it?
Tips for offering amenities
Providing amenities for free makes your property more attractive to guests. When amenities come with additional fees, it can discourage bookings. Configure and highlight these amenities if they're available at no extra cost.
If an amenity cannot be configured in your settings, you can still mention it in your property description or in the notes section to inform potential guests.
Important reminders about amenities
All configured amenities must be legally available for free and accessible at all times—unless they're designated as paid services (such as high chairs, baby cots, towels, or bed linen). If you only offer an amenity for an additional fee, it's considered an extra service and cannot be configured as a standard amenity. However, you should still mention it in your property description so guests know it's available.
