How to activate or deactivate Holidu Protect
This feature is currently only available in selected areas. We will inform you, once Holidu Protect (powered by Truvi) becomes available in your region.
How to activate Holidu Protect (powered by Truvi) for your property
You can activate Holidu Protect individually for each of your properties.
Here’s how:
- Log in to your Holidu Host account and go into the property configuration of the holiday home you want to protect.
- Click on Pricing & Protection in the property settings. Click configure in the section “Protect your Property”
- Read through the information and Accept the Terms & Conditions.
- Click on “Activate Holidu Protect”. You will see a confirmation that Holidu Protect was activated successfully.
After confirming, Holidu Protect is immediately active for all future bookings at that property. If you have security deposits in place, they will be deactivated.
How to deactivate Holidu Protect (powered by Truvi)
If you wish to deactivate Holidu Protect for a property:
- Go to Pricing & Protection in your property settings.
- Next to Holidu Protect, click Edit.
- Follow the deactivation process and select your reason for opting out.
- Confirm your choice.
After deactivation:
- Future bookings will no longer be covered.
- Existing bookings already confirmed while Holidu Protect was active remain covered and will still be charged the €3/night fee.
- If you had a security deposit activated previously, it will be restored automatically

- You have full flexibility: Activate or deactivate per property at any time.
- No paperwork or manual updates needed — just a few clicks inside your Holidu account.
