Holidu Protect offers you a flexible way to safeguard your holiday property against unexpected damages and losses. You can activate or deactivate this protection individually for each of your properties at any time, directly from your Holidu Host account.

How to activate Holidu Protect

Follow these simple steps to enable Holidu Protect for your property:

Step 1: Access your property settings

Log in to your Holidu Host account and navigate to the property configuration of the holiday home you want to protect.

Step 2: Navigate to Pricing & Protection

In the property settings, click on Pricing & Protection. Then, locate the section labeled "Protect your Property" and click the configure button.

Step 3: Review and accept the Terms & Conditions

Carefully read through the information provided about Holidu Protect, including coverage details and terms. Once you have reviewed all the information, accept the Terms & Conditions by checking the required checkbox.

Step 4: Activate Holidu Protect

Click on the Activate Holidu Protect button to enable the protection for your property. A confirmation message will appear indicating that Holidu Protect has been successfully activated.

Once confirmed, Holidu Protect is immediately active for all future bookings at that property.

Important information about activation

• Immediate activation: After you activate Holidu Protect, it becomes effective for all new bookings moving forward.
• Security deposits impact: If you have security deposits configured for your property, they will be automatically deactivated when you activate Holidu Protect, as the protection service replaces the need for traditional security deposits.
• Per-property flexibility: You can activate Holidu Protect for some properties while keeping others without protection, giving you complete control over which properties are covered.

How to deactivate Holidu Protect

If you need to disable Holidu Protect for a property, you can deactivate it just as easily:

1. Log in to your Holidu Host account and go to the property configuration.
2. Click on Pricing & Protection in the property settings.
3. In the "Protect your Property" section, you will see an option to deactivate Holidu Protect.
4. Confirm the deactivation when prompted.

Once deactivated, Holidu Protect will no longer be active for new bookings on that property.
