Victoria is one of the best whale watching destinations in the world, as it is home to three resident pods of orcas, totaling 76 whales. It is possible to see whales any time of year here, but the peak season is during the summer months while the salmon are migrating, from May through October. Victoria is known for its iconic Parliament Buildings set in the Inner Harbour area of the city.
