In the past few years, Miami has kind of redefined itself. It has shifted its focus to art and not only to a party city anymore. In our travel guide you will find great things to do in Miami.

1. Hidden Gem Miami: Crandon Park

Crandon Beach is one of Miami’s greatest park treasures. A beautiful, sprawling campus of beaches and amenities. Despite relaxing at the beach it’s fun to explore the various ecosystems at Crandon Park, including dunes, mangroves, coastal hammock and sea grass beds. You can also bring some supplies for the on-site grills and make a nice BBQ. It is about a 20 minutes drive from downtown Miami.

2. Hidden Gem Miami: East Miami Sugar

The rooftop bar and garden at East Hotel, a hotel that crowns downtown Miami’s billion-dollar Brickell City Centre complex. The terrace on the 40th floor offers breathtaking views of downtown and the bay. The decor is jungle-themed and the menu reflects more of the same. Expect Asian-style tapas (for example tamarind-glazed satay) and cocktails like the Lychee Blossom.

3. Hidden Gem Miami: Wynwood Walls

Beyond the glitz and glamour of the Magic City, Miami has the colorful and artsy Wynwood neighborhood. This breathtaking succession of urban murals showcases eye-popping works by a whole host of artists from the US to Brazil, France, Japan, and beyond. The Wynwood Walls has brought the world’s greatest artists working in the graffiti and street art genre to Miami. Just stroll around the neighborhood, grab an iced coffee and explore the small little shops, paintings and sock up the Miami feeling.
