La Chapelle Aux Roses welcomes you to Lagarde, in the heart of Gers—authentic Gascony, in the region of Occitanie (formerly Midi-Pyrénées). This is not the crowded, expensive 'South of France': here you find unspoilt countryside, genuine hospitality, and a pace of life all its own.
This 80 sqm home is ideal for couples seeking peace, nature, and personal attention.
Your hosts live just across the terrace.
Each guest is welcomed with a basket of homemade bread and seasonal fruits from the property's own 2-hectare garden. There is 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen with espresso machine and drip coffee maker.
Rare in France, every window has window screens, keeping evenings comfortable without closing out the fresh air. The Chapelle is filled with books and classical CDs for leisurely evenings.
Wi-Fi, fan, shared washing machine, and beach towels are provided. Outside, you will find your own terrace—partly covered, partly open—a private grill, and an outdoor pool. The secluded location is a haven for wildlife—orioles, nightingales, and hoopoes are regular visitors.
With virtually no light pollution, the night skies are extraordinary for stargazers.
The nearby town of Fleurance (20 minutes) hosts an annual festival dedicated to astronomy. The property sits close to the Chemin de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, adding a unique historical dimension to the surroundings, and is better suited to multi-night stays than single-night pilgrim stopovers. Parking is available on-site and on the street.

We had the most wonderful 9 days at Chapelle aux Roses. The property is amazing and beautiful , the garden and pool are wonderful and Sallie is the most kind and attentive host. We were able to combine quiet times at the gite with days spent exploring the Gers region, for which the Chapelle aux Rose...

Sallie Erichson's Chapelle Aux Roses was the perfect place for us to stay for three weeks! It was wonderfully quiet, immaculate, the lighting was perfect, the bathtub was divine and Sallie was the best host I've ever met. She gave us privacy but also was very helpful with directions and suggestions of things to do in the area! I hope to go back many more times!
