Le Chant de la Rivière – Charming holiday cottage in Ariège, nestled in nature.
Treat yourselves to a unique getaway in an exceptional and peaceful setting! Located just 20 km from Château de Montségur, 31 km from Monts d’Olmes, close to Foix (18 km) and the medieval town of Mirepoix (23 km), Le Chant de la Rivière is an authentic cottage set in a former horn comb factory, a place full of history.
This warm and comfortable cottage, designed for 2 guests only, offers the friendly atmosphere of a family home.
Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, a fireplace, and a bright veranda.
Bed linen is provided and firewood is available in winter.
No cleaning fee is charged, but you are asked to leave the place clean and tidy. Enjoy a unique stay by the Douctouyre river, lulled by the sound of the water and surrounded by hiking trails starting right at your door. On-site experiences: canoe available to explore the river, evenings by the fire or in the veranda, and guided tours in a Citroën 2CV to discover Ariège’s hidden gems, with local anecdotes (available for an extra charge). Pets are welcome: ONLY ONE well-behaved dog is allowed under certain conditions (no staying alone in the cottage, cleanliness required, any damage covered). The exceptional natural setting allows for hikes from the cottage, discovery of the Roquefort waterfalls 2.5 km away on foot, and exploration of local heritage: Cathar castles, mills, museums, and typical villages.

La rivière qui coule dans le jardin , la présence rassurante de nos hôtes, la balade d’une journée en 2CV dans le pays conduits par notre hôtesse , les paysages magnifiques, la gentillesse des gens, la ville de Mirepoix.
