Switching on and off air conditioning and heating is subject to compliance with current Italian legislation (DPR 16/04/2013 n.74, DM 383 -6/10/2022).

Summer: the average air temperature must not get below 26°C (78,8 °F) for all kinds of buildings

Winter: the weighted average of the air temperatures must not exceed 19°C (66,2 °F). Time and period of operation depend on the climatic zone defined by the standard.

The S. Donato district developed between the 1950s and 1970s due to demographic development, hosting mainly refugees and workers in those years.

In 1978 work began on the Fiera District, i.e. the city business center designed by Kenzō Tange at the end of the 1960s. The first towers will be inaugurated in 1983, but the works will only be completed in 2011. This has given the neighborhood a more modern look, with many services.
