Winterlingen-Benzingen is a rural village set on a plateau in the heart of the Swabian Southwest Alb, famous for its "Zehn Tausender" (ten peaks over 1,000 meters). The Southwest Alb offers wonderful hiking trails and is known for the premium and Albtrauf trails of Albstadt, which is very close to Benzingen.

Johannes en Berta zijn geweldige hosts die zeer gastvrij zijn, helpen met bijv de was en adviezen voor activiteiten. In het huis ontbreekt het aan niets. Het heeft de hele dag zon en schaduwplekken en is een prima uitvalsbasis voor wandel- en fietstochten in de omgeving. Veel hightights in de Schwäb...
De bedden zijn wat hard en vanwege de boerderijen in de omgeving is het terras niet altijd geurvrij.
