Built on an island between the Plauer See and the Fleesensee, Malchow with its almost 7000 inhabitants in the south of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern / district of Müritz has been an officially recognized climatic health resort since 2005.
In 1863, the people of Malchow built a wooden swing bridge that connected the mainland with the island and allowed ships to pass through. In 1912, it was replaced by a steel bridge with an electric motor. The bridge is a registered technical monument and opens every hour on the hour to allow ships to pass. Durch sehr freundliches Reinigungspersonal konnten wir die FW kurz nach unserer verfrühten Anreise belegen.
Den schönen Blick von der Terrasse, ein gepflegtes Grundstück und den direkten Zugang ins Wasser muss man nochmal extra erwähnen.
Ein kurzfristig auftretendes Problem wurde durch den Vermieter sehr engagiert und entgegenkommend gelöst.
