A bit of history!
The Porte de Bourgogne is located at the end of the former Salinières moat, now the Cours Victor-Hugo (formerly Rue des Fossés), on the site of the former medieval Porte des Salinières. It marks the city's official entrance on the ancient road leading to Paris. Tourny wanted it to accompany the Place Royale (now Place de la Bourse), and consecrated it to Prince Monseigneur le Duc de Bourgogne on January 24, 1757.
For a time, it was the Porte Napoléon to celebrate the Emperor's arrival in Bordeaux in 1808.
Public transport :
- At the foot of the apartment, "Place de Bourgogne" tramway stops A, C and D.
- Self-service bicycles: Vcub station 50m away (1.60e for 24 h)

Pretty affordable for a great location. The walls are very thin so you can hear everything your neighbors are doing. Overall positive experience.

Excellent séjour au sein de cet appartement. Le nécessaire y est, le ménage est irréprochable.
Le lieu est calme : aucun voisin n’a été entendu lors des deux jours passés.
L’hôte est vite disponible si l’on a des questions.

Super séjour en plein cœur de Bordeaux, douche, un peu capricieuse sur le réglage de la température et le débit de l’eau. Mais malgré ça super installation, appartement très confortable, super bien placé
