A true Northern Norwegian fishing experience - right by the sea and in historic surroundings - awaits you here! Welcome to Engvik on Rebbenesøya, where the great ocean meets history! Here you will stay right by the sea, in a simple and rustic holiday flat directly above the small local shop and in a fishing village that has been popular for over 75 years. This is not luxury, but authentic. The holiday flat is on the 1st floor and has a living room, kitchenette, bathroom and two bedrooms. The furnishings are simple, but offer everything you need for a pleasant stay. The bedrooms have two bunk beds and a family bed (1.20 m wide + single bunk above). Free WLAN and TV with Norwegian and international channels. Small terrace with sea view, barbecue and garden furniture. Access to a washing machine if required. Thanks to low light pollution and the open sea to the north, you have fantastic conditions for watching the Northern Lights even in the winter months. Rebbenesøya is a place without noise and with few people. Little car traffic and no stress. Several mountain lakes and hiking trails for those who want to be on land. This is a place for those who appreciate authentic surroundings, the smell of fish, old wooden piers and genuine northern Norwegian coastal culture. Directly opposite the cabin is the old fishing pier - still in use, now equipped for anglers. For hire: *A 19-foot boat (type Kværnø), equipped with a 50/60 hp Yamaha outboard engine, GPS/chart plotter/echo sounder and rod holders. Please note: the boat can only be hired from 10 May to 15 September. Floating jetty with easy access to the boat. Covered filleting bench with light and running water on site. Storage space for fishing equipment and freezer for your catch. Benches and tables for preparations and angling conversations. World class fishing and northern lights! This is one of the richest fishing areas in Europe with large stocks of halibut, saithe, cod and redfish. The car ferry travels to and from the island several times a day. Here you will find peace, fishing luck and a genuine northern Norwegian atmosphere, far away from hotels and mass tourism.
