A beautiful cottage built in the 1700s, Holly Cottage is an ideal family getaway resting in West Coker, Somerset.
Park off-road and unpack into this lovely property, passing the courtyard, ideal for breakfast outside in the warmer months.
The open-plan living area boasts traditional features, giving this social hub a historic feel, including bare brick around the windows, wood-panelling along the walls which has been painted an eye-catching blue, and built-in window seats, ideal for reading with a view across the street.
There is a log-effect, electric stove beside the sitting area to warm your feet in the cooler months, and a well-equipped kitchen to cater to your culinary needs.
Guests have the choice of two bedrooms, including a double-size with traditional built-in seat, ornamental fireplace and roof beams adding a sense of character, and a twin ideal for children.
West Coker is a small village with two local pubs, The New Inn and The Royal George Inn, a post office and a family butcher.
From here you can travel to Yeovil for a greater variety of eateries, a range of supermarkets where you can stock up on essentials, and a golf course, as well as walks through Yeovil Country Park and the National Trust’s Montacute House.
Close to Somerset borders, the village offers a wonderful selection of walks through Blackdown Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Cranborne Chase AONB, or there is access to the Jurassic coast at Charmouth, where you can spend a day beside the seaside seeing what treasures you can find nestled within the rocks.

Cosy, comfortable and well equipped cottage. Kitchen has all the utensils needed plus tea, coffee and biscuits available, and confortable beds. Parking only for one car however plenty of parking in nearby church car park only a few minutes walk away. Lovely pub, the New Inn who made us feel very welcome, worth a visit.

A lovely cottage in the middle of a village opposit a great pub. The kitchen appliances and equipment wasn't of a high cleaning standard. The was only enough lounge seating for 3 people but sleept 4. Everything else was great.
