A much needed time of rest and restoration in a glorious setting (the view from the bedroom window each morning was stunning)Against perfect green lawns shone the autumnal beauty of the trees and our host was more of a friend than a landlord as he responded to our suggestions.

We have stayed in many lovely cottages over the years but Southwood Lodge tops the lot! Beautifully designed and furnished, stylish and modern, yet cosy and comfortable. The welcoming pack of wine, flowers, milk, etc, was much appreciated, as were all the extra little touches to make our stay more pleasant. We enjoyed exploring this lovely area and, as a bonus, the weather was perfect all week!
