Blandford Forum 3.4 miles.
Set in the quaint village of Spetisbury, a short drive from Blandford Forum, Dorset, lies this charming, two-bedroom holiday property, Little Stables Cottage.
Situated on a working farm in a rural location, lots of walks & cycling routes to explore.
Meet the farmer & tours can be arranged when available.
Nestled between two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, including Cranborne Chase, this cottage boasts beautiful views across the rolling countryside, making it an idyllic base for a small family or couples looking for an escape to Dorset, just a short distance from the Jurassic Coastline, which includes the stunning locations of Studland, Swanage, Kimmeridge & Lulworth Cove, not forgetting the famous Durdle Door.
Inside, you will be greeted by a number of tastefully-presented living spaces, including a well-equipped kitchen/diner, the social centre of the house where you and your loved ones can prepare meals together to be enjoyed around the dining table, before retiring to the sitting room that comes complete with plush sofas and a centrepiece woodburning stove.
As the evening draws to a close, retire to one of two well-presented bedrooms, both of which contain inviting beds where you can catch your rest.
If you choose to leave your tranquil dwelling, venture into nearby Blandford Forum, where the whole family can savour a meal at the Hall and Woodhouse Brewery Tap, or if pub grub is more of what you're craving, either The Old Parlour in Spetisbury or the Red Lion in nearby Sturminster Marshall are to satisfy your hunger.
Within easy reach of your doorstep, you can also find Wimborne, just 10 miles away, and a plethora of cycle routes and trails, as well as the peaceful stretch of the River Stour, perfect for a scenic stroll on a sunny afternoon.
A brief drive south of your lodgings will bring you to the coastal town of Poole, where you can find the exciting locations of Harbourside Park and Farmer Palmer's Farm Park, and even take a ferry ride over to the National Trust landmark of Brownsea Island, home to an array of hiking, picnic and wildlife spots habiting red squirrels.
Slightly further afield, you can find the resort town of Bournemouth, home to the bustling spots of Boscombe Pier and Bournemouth Beach, as well as the Oceanarium, a waterfront aquarium with regular feeding sessions.
Further attractions and landmarks accessible by car include Corfe Castle, National Trust Stourhead, the Italian-style manor at Kingston Lacy, the Monkey World animal park, The Tank Museum in Bovington, and the iconic Sculpture by the Lakes by Simon Gudgeon in Dorchester.
Whisk the family away for an unforgettable stay at Little Stables Cottage.
