Whiteside is a well-positioned, single-storey lodge located in the village of High Lorton, close to Cockermouth and Keswick, overlooking the undulating hills of the Lake District National Park. Whiteside is an excellent base for a group of four guests and their furry companions, situated in a prime area to enjoy the Lakes; the lodge also benefits from off-road parking, a private veranda, and an open-plan living area.
Once you've parked, unload your bags before heading up to the lodge. Be greeted into the open-plan living area, which has a well-equipped kitchen, a dining room table that seats four people, and lots of plush seating.
Take advantage of your magnificent surroundings by stepping outside, setting up the picnic bench, and enjoying the scenery with a glass of wine in hand. This single-storey lodge has an open-plan kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, TV and electric fire. The bedrooms consist of a double with en-suite shower room, and a twin, serviced by a shower room. Outside there is a wrap-around, decked veranda with furniture, and off-road parking for two cars. Two well-behaved dogs welcomed, but sorry, no smoking. Fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. You'll find a shop in 0.5 miles and a pub in 1.2 miles. Escape to the Cumbrian countryside at Whiteside. Note: There are steps up to the lodge; please take care. Note: A fishing lake is nearby, which guests can benefit from with a permit.
