Eagle is located on the Portnellan Estate and offers tasteful and luxurious self catering accommodation sleeping up to 4 people within 2 bedrooms, bathroom and open plan living, dining and kitchen area.
Situated in the heart of the central Highlands of Scotland with spectacular loch, glen and mountain views all around Eagle's setting is magnificent where a true highland landscape awaits you and it is often complimented on the abundance of bird and wild life that can be regularly seen.
It is not unusual to see the deer meandering off the hill and passing nearby the property.
Eagle has recently been refurbished throughout.
The bedroom configuration is a king sized double and twin bedroom.
A fitted kitchen with all mod cons to include washing machine, dishwasher, oven and ceramic hob, microwave and under counter fridge with freezer compartment.
An open plan living and dining area leads onto a private balcony through a sliding patio with a panoramic view of Loch Iubhair (pronounced Ewar) and the dramatic rugged mountains of Glen Dochart.
All can be viewed from the garden furniture provided.
Gaze the other direction and marvel at the iconic mountain of Ben More that rises from your back garden.
Simply stunning.
The lodge is equipped with a LCD TV with freeview SKY, Blu Ray DVD, Wi-Fi is available free of charge.
There is even an onsite visitor centre with a small essentials shop, fresh organic meat from a farm locally for sale (perfect for a BBQ or home cooking), local information, a varied selection of board games and DVDs.
The Portnellan Estate has been privately owned by the same family for nearly 40 years and offers fantastic facilities including fresh run wild salmon and trout fishing on the estate lochs and river, plenty of trails for on and off road biking, a games room with table tennis, table football, pool table and a small gym.
Kayaks and rowing boats are free to use on the river and loch and EV trickle charging at the lodge.
New for 2025 is our brand new 'BBQ hutte' which can be hired exclusively to enjoy a real flame BBQ with friends and family and our outdoor sauna which can also be hired.
Portnellan Estate is the perfect base for exploring Central/West Scotland with known landmarks only a short distance away.
Oban 45 minutes, Stirling, Fort William and Glasgow just over 1 hour and Edinburgh a 90 min drive.
Glen Coe and all it beholds is less than 40 mins drive and the bonnie shores of Loch Lomond are 20 mins by car.
Other areas include the truly beautiful Glen Lyon and Loch Tay, Glen Etive, Glen Lochay and Glen Orchy all within the local area.

We were in Eagle and view of the mountains was worth every penny. lovely accomodation, has everything you need, quality with a touch of luxury. Cameron was lovely and very helpful.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for something special.

The property was beautifully furnished, with little touches that made it really easy to just turn up and settle in - teas, coffee, shortbread, even milk in the fridge. The views were exceptional; the whole place was quiet and secluded. We brought our binoculars, and got to spend hours watching birds and red squirrels at the feeders. It was beautiful. I'd happily go back there.
If you're sensitive to noise, the traffic can be a little loud if you're sitting outside. (That's literally the only negative thing I can think of!)

Fantastische locatie met een droomuitzicht. Wat een prachtige natuur en je zit er middenin!
Faciliteiten ook prima. Gratis kayakken en een wandeling naar de top van de prachtige Ben More vlak naast de deur.
Op de 2e dag zaten we bij het douchen plots zonder warm water. Blijkbaar moest de boiler eerst vooraf en handmatig aangezet worden. Dit was niet goed gecommuniceerd. Daarna geen problemen meer.
