Welcome to Punch Tree Cabins, based in the heart of the Clyde Valley in South Lanarkshire, Scotland.
This is one of our Cabins, 'Copper Beech Cabin'.
We have TWO cabins in total on site..
Both take TWO adults comfortably with a 2 Night minimum stay.
We currently do not take Children or Dogs.
This cosy cabin is located in a wonderful rural spot in Mauldslie Estate, Carluke.
The lovely living areas and excellent location make it the perfect choice for a get away or get together with friends.
This charming cabin includes a host of modern comforts, making it an ideal home away from home.
As a self-catering cabin, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay.
Our charming, insulated Cabin comprises of an open plan kitchenette, seating/lounge and sleeping area with a separate bathroom.
The kitchen has a fridge freezer, an induction hob, a microwave/oven, a kettle and toaster.
The cabin is a perfect place to relax and offers a cosy wood-burner, comfortable armchairs and some well deserved digital detox.
The cabin is an open plan living area with a comfortable double bed with cotton white linen, and is very comfortable, allowing for a good night's sleep.
There is separate bathroom, which has a toilet and sink and a walk-in power shower.
Linen, towels are all included.
Our Cabin is a brand new (2022), insulated, double-glazed with Wood Burning Stove for cosy heat.
Outdoor amenities include: Covered rustic seating area with seats and table.
Luxurious Outdoor Bath for Two to bathe underneath the stars on your own private patio! The private patio has a fire pit to take in the views and listen to the wildlife.
We supply blankets for warmth outside! You may wander through our beautiful garden and find a quiet and secluded seat under a Redwood or Firwood Tree or have a picnic on the lawn or BBQ.
You can enjoy the area of the beautiful historical setting of the original Maudslie Castle over-looking Big Trees and Woodland.
Situated within the gardens and our woodland walk, comprises of: Redwood Sycoa, Copper Beech, Rhodedendrons, Wild Garlic, Scarlett Elf Cup, Fir Trees and a selection of Wild Flowers, Raspberry and Bramble Bushes.
A Peaceful setting, ideally situated for major cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Local amenities you can visit include: Garden Centres - Silverbirch, Gouldings, Dobbies, The Popinjay Hotel/Restaurant & Spa, New Lanark Mill hotel and local art and craft shops in the nearby towns.
Carluke Golf Club, Mountain Biking in Mauldslie Woods, Fishing on the River Clyde and other activities you will enjoy.
Look out for the local wildlife: Deer, Heron, Buzzards, Woodpeckers, Badgers, Foxes and Otters.
Enjoy the breathtaking walks around the stunning Clyde Valley such as: The River Clyde Walkway, Mauldslie Woods, Falls of Clyde, and Nethan Gorge.
NB: We have animals on site.
We recommend: Bring your Wellies for walks, download your favourite movies in advance and pack the snacks for the perfect chillout! We have a lovely warm duvet and log burner as the key heat supply to keep you cosy inside, and a private firepit and patio outside for those starry nights.

Due to our two dogs, ponies and the local farm animals there are no dogs allowed, sorry.

The host was fantastic and had made some extra touches for our anniversary. The outdoor bath was fabulous and the cabin was beautiful.

Absolutely lovely 3-night stay! The lodge is beautiful and had everything we needed. Super friendly host, great location and the outdoor bath was amazing. Would love to come back!.

There were no issues.
A personal note is that an additional light fitting would benefit the ambiance ( maybe hanging from the high ceiling) as when sitting either in the armchairs or sitting at the table to eat the lighting is negligible
This is only a personal comment otherwise everything was excellent.
