Lime Tree Lodge is just delightful property that was built by the owners and sits in its own ground overlooking open countryside and far reaching views of the Galloway Hills.
The owner’s attention to detail is evident throughout the Lodge.
Flooded with natural light from the floor to ceiling windows and doors, the interior is beautifully decorated and furnished in natural materials and fabrics.
The luxury continues in the bedroom with a large luxurious kingsize bed and crisp cotton bedding and colourful accessories and a sleek, modern en-suite shower room.
For a romantic getaway you have stumbled across the perfect property! Whilst Lime Tree Lodge enjoys the perfect rural retreat for those looking for peace and tranquillity it is only minutes by car from the small market town of Castle Douglas.
For the energetic, The Byre is on a popular local circular 5-mile walk which takes you from the cottage into Castle Douglas and back along quiet country roads.
In fact there is an abundance of walking and cycling routes on your doorstep.
Castle Douglas is ideally placed for exploring this beautiful corner of south west Scotland.
There are attractions in abundance, from beautiful sandy beaches to dramatic cliff tops.
Other activities include sailing, swimming, riding, fishing, golf, boat trips and water sports close by, offering something for everyone.
Warmed by the gulf stream there are many beautiful gardens to visit, including the National Trust’s Threave Gardens.
The Galloway Forest Park, home to the first Dark Sky Park in Europe, and central to the world renowned 7-Stanes mountain bike tracks at Dalbeattie Forest and Kirroughtree Forest which is a popular location for cyclists and mountain bikers.
