Carleton Mill Cottage Carlisle is located on the outskirts of Carlisle just 2 minutes from the M6 motorway and 10 minutes from the city centre, this first floor apartment is converted from the former working mill dating back to 1721. The cottage retains its traditional character with beams, an electric stove effect fire, has wonderful open views over the fields to the River Petteril and everything you need for an enjoyable holiday at any time of year.
The cottage is gas centrally heated and is accessed via its own staircase. Ground floor utility room with washer/dryer.
Stairs lead to the first floor open plan living room/kitchen with vaulted ceiling, exposed cruik beams, large comfy sofas surround the Freeview TV with DVD player and electric stove effect fire. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and gas hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and dining table. Double bedroom and twin bedroom. Bathroom with shower over bath, hand basin and WC.
All gas, electric, bed linen and towels provided. Cot and highchair available. Free Wi-Fi. Access to the shared garden area.

The City of Carlisle has an abundance of facilities for a family get away, within a 10 minute drive you will find the Lanes Shopping Centre, Castle, Cathedral, Tullie House Museum, and the children will love the soft play centres, trampoline park and other attractions. The Lake District is easily reached with Ullswater a 30 minute drive, Hadrian’s Wall is also a short drive and the Solway Coast can be reached in less than an hour.
