Schooner Court No1 is one of two apartments that has been presented to a very high standard with quality fixtures and fittings.
This first-floor apartment has open plan living space, benefits from gas central heating, a balcony where you can sit out on that sunny afternoon and evening, and private parking.
Being just metres from the park and beach near the mouth of the River Aln and a short stroll from all amenities the popular village of Alnmouth has to offer.
The open-plan living space has everything needed to ensure guests have a relaxing and enjoyable stay with ample seating, tasteful soft furnishings and chic décor as well as French doors leading out onto a charming balcony which offers breath-taking views and is the ideal spot for sitting down with a glass of your favourite tipple and really getting into the holiday spirit.
The kitchen is fully fitted with all the appliances necessary to be able to produce wholesome meals for the holiday party and there is a stylish dining area which is ready for guests to pull up a chair and look forward to long, lazy meals together.
When night falls and thoughts turn to sleep, guests can make their way to one of two well-appointed bedrooms..
Both are pleasant places to lay your weary heads after a hard day of holidaying and with an en-suite shower and a bath to choose from, after a quick dip, you’ll be raring to go.
Take a short stroll to the beach, the park or the amenities of Alnmouth or jump in the car and take a short but scenic drive to Alnwick, famous for its castle and gardens, or drive a little further to attractions such as Hadrian’s Wall, Howick Hall and Gardens, Dunstanburgh Castle and Northumberland Country Zoo.
Take a boat trip over to the Farne Islands where you might catch sight of an unusual bird or seal.
If you love wildlife, then you’ve come to the right place with RSPB reserves at Annstead Dunes and Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre.
Activities worth having a go at while you’re here include golf at Alnmouth Golf Club, horse-riding at Slate Hall Riding Centre, surfing at Bamburgh Castle Beach and sailing at Beadnell Sailing Club.

This first floor apartment has open plan living space, benefits from gas central heating, a balcony where you can enjoy the view of the estuary on that sunny afternoon and evening and private parking. Being just metres from the park and beach near the mouth of the River Aln and a short stroll from all amenities the popular village of Alnmouth has to offer.
ACCOMMODATION OVER ONE LEVEL (1st Floor)
Separate entrance with stairs to first floor.
Open plan kitchen/dining/living area with electric oven and induction hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave. Dining table and chairs. Living area with comfy seating, TV/DVD, IPod dock. Access to balcony with seating and views.
Bedroom 1 with king-size bed, en suite with shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail.
Bedroom 2 with two single beds.
Bathroom with bath, over shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail.
OTHER FACILITIES
Balcony with table and chairs with view of the estuary. Gas central heating. All power, bed linen and towels included in the rent. Private parking for 1 car.
Schooner Court No1 is above Schooner Court No2. Both properties can be rented together, sleeping 8 guests in 4 bedrooms. This would suit families or friends wishing to holiday together.
Building work has been taking place on Estuary Drive.
This is nearing completion (four out of seven units are fully finished) but as of October 2025 work has temporarily ceased.
We do not know when it will resume (some time in 2026 we believe) but when it does, there will be some activity on the remaining three properties opposite Schooner Court 1 and 2 (external paving to be laid plus internal fitting out to be done).
When the work is completed, the road will be resurfaced.
Neither the owners of Schooner Court 1 and 2 or Northumbria Coast & Country Cottages have any control over the neighbouring works, but at some time during the midweek (work is not permitted at the weekend) there may be some activity.
We will monitor the work and update this information as necessary.
