Heatherley is a substantial, end-of-terrace property which has been renovated to a quality standard and sits within a peaceful residential area close to the centre of Ambleside.
With four bedrooms and bathrooms, the property is designed to provide comfortable accommodation for groups of families and friends looking to stay within one of the most desirable holiday locations in the UK.
After a day of rambling the fells, put away your boots and coats in the hallway and head to the sitting area, complete with two sofas and armchairs, dual aspect windows, a woodburning stove and wall-mounted TV to entertain.
Gather at the wooden dining table, whether for home-cooked meals or a board game brought from home.
Move to the rear of the property to discover the superbly appointed kitchen, complete with a range cooker and plenty of worktop space, plus all the crockery and utensils you could need for a self-catered stay.
As the evening draws to a close, retire to one of the four bedrooms, each one containing plush beds draped in gorgeous linens and home to plenty of storage for your things.
On the first floor is the master king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room and a twin room served by a contemporary bathroom, while the second floor offers a similar setup with a king-size bedroom with en-suite shower and a twin room, both of which feature unique sloped roofing.
Spend a moment outside at the rear patio, offering a great space for evening drinks or alfresco dining, or head to one of the many eateries in Ambleside, including an award-winning Michelin starred restaurant.
Resting just outside Ambleside you will find Brockhole Visitors Centre where you can enjoy treetop treks, mini golf, archery and some delightful walks around the extensive gardens designed by British gardener Thomas Mawson.
Beatrix Potter’s former home, the National Trust’s Hill Top, rests close by in Hawkshead and is a quaint farmhouse still filled with the writer’s furnishings and favourite things, almost as though she had just stepped out for a walk; it’s a fantastic place to visit for any fans of her children’s books.
Heatherley is an individual holiday home with its own style and character, perfect for a getaway whatever time of year.

Mouse droppings

Mouse droppings under bed on 1st floor. Permits for outside and council car park
Both out of date so had to pay for parking. Curtains in all rooms hanging off railings. Carpets dirty, smell of drains in kitchen. Sofas have stains on. The show property news a good clean. Owners clearly think it’s acceptable for a 3yr old to stay in a room with mouse droppings. Avoid at all costs.

Bedrooms are great. So are the bathrooms. Location is good. Difficult to get a, space on the street to use the permit to park. Downstairs is meant for 8 but only has 6 dining chairs and six seats in the living room. Kitchen equipment was dirty, every pan was horrible and most were not usable to cook...
