Dove Holme Cottage is a rustic traditional cottage set in a beautiful location close to the centre of Grasmere and almost neighbour to the former home of William Wordsworth.
The cottage offers a good standard of accommodation with all amenities for a walking or a lake district break including a wood burning fire, walk in shower and a cosy bedroom.
The cottage has a cosy atmosphere for evenings in and special occasions, but is also only a few minutes' stroll from Grasmere's village centre for shops, restaurants and country pubs. Keen walkers will stride out straight from the doorstep, perhaps never needing to use the car, and will find the modern shower room just right at the end of a long day.

Accommodation in detail
Step inside Dove Holme Cottage through it's traditional lakeland porch leading into the cosy but bright lounge, with deep-cushioned sofas, character exposed beams, and a warm woodburning stove set in pretty Lakeland stone.
The kitchen / dining room is well-equipped with all the necessary amenities required for the two of you and provides pleasant dining space for up to four.
Upstairs to the first floor is the romantic bedroom with a kingsize bed continuing the cosy feel of this traditional building. Across the landing is the shower room.
Outside there is a bench but no garden but perfect for coffee or drinks on sunny days.
Location
Only a stone's throw from William Wordsworth's Dove Cottage, this romantic Lake District self-catering property is nestled in a peaceful conservation area on the edges of Grasmere village, close to the pretty lake, but only a short stroll from shops, tea rooms and restaurants in Grasmere's village centre.
It's a perfect location for a romantic break in the Lake District and also provides easy access to no end of fabulous Lake District walks. Try the route up to Easedale Tarn in the fells above the village, visit the shores of nearby Rydal Water, or take on Fairfield, Silver How or Loughrigg to name but a few! The Langdale Pikes are accessible from the Langdale Valley, only a short drive away, and up the road at Thirlmere you'll find the start point for an ascent of Helvellyn.
Grasmere itself is well-served for self-catering in the Lake District, with lovely local shops and a vibrant market square. Drive a few miles to Ambleside along the A591, and you'll find a more cosmopolitan village centre with sophisticated shops, delis and acclaimed Lake District restaurants such as The Glass House. Don't forget to explore the wealth of excellent country gastropubs in the Lake District.
