Tucked away near to the village's main street in the heart of Ambleside, the cosy cottage has a woodburning stove and window seats offering a tranquil retreat and a great place to sit and watch the village.
Leave the car behind, and explore the nearby Stock Ghyll Falls, or the beautiful walk to Grasmere along the shores of Rydal Water.
For a more challenging walk head up to Fairfield Horseshoe one of the classic Lake District Walks.
Literary fans can easily visit Rydal Mount, the family home of William Wordsworth, or simply enjoy the eclectic selection of shops, restaurants, bars and cafes that Ambleside has to offer.

Not what we thought it was from the photos on Sykes. It's not a cottage it's a old townhouse over three floors. Musty smelling. Not cleaned properly with dust everywhere. Rickety stairs meant walking up and down felt unsafe. Top bedroom is in roof and slanted so you cannot walk around the bed. You ...
