East Wing is a beautifully converted former stable, nestled in picturesque Somerset countryside, overlooking the stunning Mendip foothills in the Chew Valley. It offers guests a relaxing and luxurious retreat away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, with extensive grounds and access to a heated swimming pool with a hot tub, steam room & changing rooms.
East Wing provides ground floor accommodation for six plus two* over three beautiful en suite bedrooms, with a sofa bed for two more guests (*extra fee) in the spacious living area, if required.
It is located adjacent to Old Stables (sleeps eight plus three) in ten acres of beautiful grounds. Originally built in 1800 as part of the Belluton Grange estate, the grounds retain many Georgian features, including a well and a rare Georgian Horse Wash, utilising a natural spring.
The spacious sitting/dining room has ceiling-to-floor windows, a large sofa bed, and a magnificent fireplace with a cosy wood burner. There is an HDTV with a Wii, Android TV box and a Blu-Ray player. A bank of skylights stream natural light into the room making it nice and bright. Just off the living room, there is a modern kitchen with an electric oven, gas hob, built-in microwave, and a slimline dishwasher.
Opposite the front door and entrance hall is Wisteria, a super king/twin bedroom with a TV and en suite walk-in shower. Just off the living room are two further en suite bedrooms: Willow has a super king bed (can convert to twins), TV and en suite bathroom with a freestanding slipper bath and walk-in shower; Magnolia, has a comfortable 5’ bed, TV, and en suite with bath and overhead shower.
Discover the purpose built swimming pool complex housing a ten-metre pool hot tub, changing rooms and steam cubicle. Shared with guests at Old Stables, the amenities are bookable for fully exclusive use in advance of your stay.
There is an exclusive private patio with charcoal barbecue for guests staying at East Wing at the foot of the driveway. The garden itself is shared with guests staying at Old Stables and the owners.
Guests have access to a laundry room (shared with Old Stables) containing two washing machines, tumble dryers and an additional dishwasher in case of parties!
