Nestled near the village of Pensford overlooking the stunning Mendip foothills in the Chew Valley, Old Stables sits in extensive grounds with access to a heated swimming pool with a hot tub, steam room and changing rooms.
Old Stables is located adjacent to East Wing (sleeps six + two) in ten acres of beautiful grounds. Originally built in 1800 as part of the Belluton Grange estate, the grounds retain many Georgian features, including a well and a rare Georgian Horse Wash, utilising a natural spring.
Gone are the horses and groom - instead you’ll find glorious accommodation for eight over four bedrooms, with a sofa bed and child’s bed available for up to three more guests if required (*extra fee). Retaining its original character, there is plenty of space for everyone to relax and dine together.
The Stables benefits from two reception rooms; The Garden Room/Conservatory has a large dining table seating up to 14 guests and magnificent views. The spacious sitting room has comfortable seating and a wood burner. A fully equipped open plan breakfasting kitchen is next to the living area. All of these rooms have French doors that lead onto the garden.
Upstairs are three en-suite bedrooms, two with super king beds that can be made up as twins if required, and the third with a 5 ‘ king. Two have bathrooms with freestanding baths and separate showers., one has a shower room. The fourth bedroom is located downstairs and has full size bunk-beds and access to a downstairs washroom.
Discover the purpose built swimming pool complex housing a ten-metre pool hot tub, changing rooms and steam cubicle. Shared with guests at East Wing, the amenities are bookable for fully exclusive use in advance of your stay.
Outside the private terrace has ample seating for your party, with loungers, comfy chairs and a charcoal barbecue. The garden itself is shared with guests staying at East Wing and the owners.
We can also offer massages, aromatherapy treatments and personal trainer assessment which can be arranged by yourselves at an extra charge.
Guests have access to a laundry room (shared with East Wing) containing two washing machines, tumble dryers and an additional dishwasher in case of parties!

We had an amazing family weekend birthday celebration at SummerHouse with 8 adults & 5 children.
The bedrooms were very luxurious and comfortable.
The kitchen in The Old Stables was very well equipped enough for all of us without needing to use the 2nd kitchen in The East wing.

Great areas to relax and to entertain 20 peeps for Christmas.( family came for the day)
Minor complaints no iron we did send a message
