Hardwick Haven is 1 bedroom apartment (second double bed in the living room in sumptuous pull out bed), perfectly located at the heart of the beautiful historic village of Sedgefield. 800m from the village green and less than 1km to Hardwick Hall and Country Park. A perfect option for those looking for a base to explore Durham or those enjoying events at the Park, Hall, racecourse, local golf clubs or village. Hardwick Haven is a modern, self contained apartment with All the amenities you can think of.
Hardwick Haven is a first floor apartment at the heart of this historic Durham village.
It comprises of a spacious living space with all mod cons including Wifi, Alexa, Smart TV, DVD, Xbox and a book library. The TV comes loaded with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney Plus apps.
The separate kitchen is equally spacious with a dining area for families and a fully fitted kitchen that includes a fridge, freezer, washing machine, microwave, toaster and all of the kitchen utensils required to self cater for between 1 to 4 people.
The bedroom has a double bed with a large smart screen TV loaded with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney Plus apps (own logins required). There is ample storage for guests clothing in the large bedroom storage cupboard, drawers and TV chest. The second double bed is located in the living room and is a sumptuous pull out sofa bed.
The apartment has a separate toilet and bathroom with a newly renovated shower cubicle and wash area that doubles as an ensuite to the bedroom.
Extras that are available at all times for guests include; an iron and ironing board, a drying rack, hairdryer, board games and family games, first aid kit, cleaning equipment.
Guests have access to all interior parts of the apartment. This is a self contained unit. Not shared.
Guests have access to their own car parking space also.
Access to the apartment is via a ground floor front door. Not shared.

Hardwick Haven is set off the road in a short cul-de-sac street only metres from the main road and 5 minute walk to all amenities; corner shops, grocers, pubs, coffee shops and restaurants on Sedgefield High Street. It is a very green, rural and quiet area with well established forests and walkways near by.
There is a large private parking compound to the rear of the property with ample space for multiple cars. This is entirely free.
There is a bus stop approximately 30m from the property on the mean road. This has routes into Stockton, Durham, Hartlepool and other local villages.
The high street and all village pubs, coffee shops, restaurant, and grocery shops is only 800m away.
There is a corner shop 400m away
There is a Sainsbury shop only 400m away.
The A1 is only 2 miles away.

Great place to stay if visiting Sedgefied, good location, clean and compact

Great location, clean and compact. Host communication was good.
Water flow in kitchen seemed very slow, took a while to wash up and didn’t notice information about heating until leaving as post it notes on bookshelf so could maybe be clearer. Though these are minor and didn’t really affect our stay.

Clean and recently decorated. You can tell that a lot of thought has been put into giving you everything you might need.
Access is not ideal, but plenty of parking available. Also being a 1st floor apartment I was a little concerned my children might be noisy for people below, but didn't hear or see them. Tiny bin in kitchen.
