Hazels Cottage can be found in the popular village of Hayton just a few miles from the market town of Pocklington, midway between the ancient City of York and the stunning North Yorkshire coastline.
This beautifully converted barn is an ideal getaway for two looking a romantic break.
Step inside into the open plan living area which is flooded with natural light from the floor to ceiling glass that surrounds the barn door.
The country style kitchen sits to one side and offers and electric oven and hob.
The owner of Hazels Cottage has created many of the wooden features including the drop-down table that cleverly folds against the kitchen wall to maximise the space.
A deep filled sofa offers the perfect spot from which to enjoy a relaxing evening in.
A beautifully presented double bedroom awaits you when it’s time to retire; with a deep filled mattress and pretty soft furnishings you’re guaranteed a great night’s sleep and the en-suite shower room is a delight.
This pretty holiday home offers wrap around gardens; a private courtyard area that retains the original barn wall as a backdrop.
Here you’ll find the private hot tub where you can relax in the bubbling water during the day or perhaps take a dip in the evening and watch the night sky.
There is also a seating area to the side of the main entrance and a neatly trimmed lawn to the rear.
Behind the property is a large orchard with additional seating that is shared with other properties on site.
Feel free to pick the fruit during the autumn months or feed the chickens that roam the farm.
The local village shop is a two-minute walk away and the pub is just over the road.
The popular market town of Pocklington is only a short drive away and offers a plethora of independent shops, tea rooms and a range of pubs and restaurants.
Burnby Hall and Gardens is just up the road and is home to the National Collection of water lilies and the Pocklington canal is ideal for nature walks and bird watching.

Beautiful cottage (spotlessly clean) and gardens that are well maintained, great location and excellent hot tub. Only thing that spoilt our stay was the mattress/bed which was very uncomfortable, we kept rolling towards the middle. Otherwise it was perfect.

wanted a nice quiet weekend away.A cosy well equiped lodge with lovely hot tub.No amenities near by have to be prepared to travel, on a bus route but did not use could have done with a bus timetable and local taxi numbers.

Lovely stay at Hazel's cottage, would highly recommend it. Nice and relaxing place with all you could ask for, hot tub was great. In a great location for access to York or Scarborough and may other lovely places to visit.
