Tucked away on the outskirts of Heathfield, Sussex, is this beautiful four-bedroom log barn conversion, Ghyll Park Farm.
Enjoying a superb location set within private grounds in the High Weald AONB, and a stunning interior with contemporary furnishings, Ghyll Park Farm is a fabulous dog-friendly choice for a group or family of ten.
Be welcomed into the spacious open-plan living space, where you will find a well-equipped kitchen, featuring a large island, Nespresso coffee machine and dishwasher, where you can prepare tasty dishes to savour around the dining table for 10.
On warmer days, why not head out to the south-facing patio where you can fire up the barbecue and indulge in a spot of alfresco dining? After dinner, retire to the sitting area, where you can curl up in front of the double-sided woodburning stove with your favourite book, or snuggle up in front of a much-loved film on the large TV.
Be sure to check out the games room, where you can play darts, watch something else on the TV, challenge your loved ones to a game of table football, or enjoy the range of board and card games.
Completing the ground-floor is a handy shower room, a utility for your convenience with a washing machine and tumble dryer and a boot room with convenient side access to the garden and woodland.
Climb the stairs up to the first floor, where you will find four beautifully appointed bedrooms, a super-king-size with its own en-suite bathroom with gorgeous rolltop bath, a king-size with en-suite shower room, both of which have their own Freeview TV, and two twins with zip/link, all served by a well-appointed bathroom.
All bedrooms are equipped with portable fans and bedside USB sockets, whilst all bathrooms are equipped with toothbrush chargers for your convenience.
The log barn is nestled within 50-acres of private, rolling Sussex countryside, where you can go for peaceful walks on private paths, as well as connect to the local network of public footpaths, directly from your doorstep.
As the property is set on a working farm, cycling is not permitted.
Explore the nearby village of Horam, where you can treat your loved ones to a well-deserved meal at the Clubhouse Bar & Restaurant and Lakeside, indulge in a tipple at the Hidden Spring Vineyard, or stock up on essentials at the butchers, well-stocked convenience stores and petrol stations.
Within the village you can also test out your swing at Horam Park and visit the award-winning Horam Manor Farm.
For additional amenities, the local town of Heathfield is within easy reach and offers shops, a butcher, fishmonger, a lovely deli, three supermarkets and plenty of public parking.
For tasty pub lunches, be sure to check out the surrounding and welcoming pubs of Runt-In-Tun Inn in Maynards Green, The Star Inn set in Waldron and The Gun in Chiddingly.
Continue onto Eastbourne, where you can spend at day at Eastbourne Beach, tour the Eastbourne Lifeboat Museum, hop aboard the charming Eastbourne Miniature Railway, and picnic in Shinewater Park.
Next stop is Royal Tunbridge Wells, home to a wealth of picturesque parks, the welcoming eateries of The Ivy and The Mount Edgecumbe and The Allotment Pub.
Further afield, you will find Hastings, where you can wander the Hastings Museum & Art Gallery, visit the Hastings Castle, mee the local marine life at Hastings Aquarium, or embark on the Smugglers Adventure.
Other local attractions you may wish to visit during your stay include the Beacon Down Vineyard, Tottingworth Farm Shop and Café, Lakedown Trout Fishery, the National Trust site of Bateman’s, former home of Rudyard Kipling, Hersmonceaux Castle, Drusillas Park, Ashdown Forst, the Five Hundred Acre Wood (Winnie the pooh) and the historic Battle, where the historic Battle of Hastings took place and home to Battle Abbey.
