The stylish modern kitchen caters for the serious cook amongst whilst your friends sit and relax round the large dining table! Bi-fold doors lead from this stunning open plan living space allowing the ’outside’ in.
With direct access to the garden dining al fresco on a fine day is perfect.
Chestnuts sits on the edge on the little village of Moorhouse where you can stroll along to the lovely local pub and enjoy a meal or just a drink or two.
Close to the border city of Carlisle the perfect location for exploring not only the wonderful Cumbrian countryside but only a short trip over the border into Scotland.
With quiet country lanes surrounding you, Chestnuts is ideal for cycling and walking particularly as Hadrian’s Wall passes by so why not wander along some of this iconic landmark.
The stunning Lake District National Park is truly not to be missed while staying at Chestnuts and is only a short drive away where you can enjoy the majestic hills and stunning lakes.

This is an amazing house with just about everything you could need for a self catering holiday. The standard of finish and equipment is excellent and the tray of eggs left for us was a nice touch and of course the wine !
The place was spotless upon arrival and the grass nicely cut during our stay .
All in all highly recommend this house

Fantastic property. Let down by lack of pans, casserole dishes and general kitchen equipment. Also, a welcome pack of a pack of shortbread biscuits and some tea bags was the worst we have ever had at a holiday cottage. It would have been better not leaving them. Disappointing.

Honestly the most amazing house for any time of year but especially Christmas week. So big! Such a good location. Quiet. Modern. Just amazing! As for local amenities and location you really couldn’t get more perfect. 3 minutes exactly from the bipass, 12 mins from big asda, 15 mins (if that) to the centre of the city. But still in the countryside with fields surrounding. 10/10
