Spread over three floors, this traditional cottage is decadent yet relaxed; think Farrow & Ball colours, sumptuous Laura Ashley furnishings and Lakeland cottage charm.
With exposed beams over oak floors, a woodburning stove, contemporary country kitchen and dining area, cosy cottage bedrooms, luxury family bathroom and small patio, Charlotte's Cottage is a vibrant restful retreat for one or two couples, with an occasional basement twin bedroom if needed.
Windermere village centre has a delightful busy traditional feel, with lots of shops, galleries and cafes, along with a superior Booths supermarket., traditional Lakeland pubs and restaurants. 2 miles down the road, you’ll discover the bustling, cosmopolitan Bowness-on-Windermere, with shops, bars, restaurants and of course the Lake itself. Here you enjoy lake cruises, which can take you up to Ambleside & Lakeside, hire boats and generally enjoy the fantastic views. Jump straight onto the main A591 to head north along to Ambleside, Grasmere & Keswick. You’ll also access the Langdale Valley and Coniston, and a scenic drive over the Kirkstone Pass, through the Troutbeck Valley drops you down to Ullswater. You'll also lovely strolls from the doorstep of your Windermere holiday cottage – why not walk to the top of Orrest Head, where the lake views are the same today as the ones that inspired Alfred Wainwright.
