Set in the lovely hamlet of Elterwater, this stylish cottage with modern fittings, is the perfect property for couples or family with older children. Townfoot Cottage is located in the corner of a small courtyard, with a fine country pub just a short stroll away. There are many lovely walks on the doorstep, including one leading past a fantastic waterfall on the way down to the popular Chesters restaurant and fascinating shop.
The cottage itself is cosy and welcoming. The state-of-the-art kitchen is fitted with granite worktops, Neff and Bosch appliances and comes complete with its own super view. Townfoot Cottage’s sitting room is the perfect chill out spot, with two leather sofas, an armchair, slate hearth with wood burning stove, 42” TV and solid oak furniture. Plenty of space for everyone to kick back and relax.
Upstairs are two luxury bedrooms, both with king size beds, Egyptian cotton bedding and divinely comfortable mattresses. Each room has plenty of storage and wardrobe space, as well as cushioned window seats for watching the sheep go by. The family bathroom is tiled throughout, with luxury shower over the ample bath.
Elterwater itself is only a short drive from the busy village of Ambleside, the shores of Lake Windermere, Hawkshead and glorious Coniston Water. The perfect location for a special Lake District celebration or special holiday now also with complimentry access to Choices Health Club in Troutbeck Bridge.
